I'm sorry but was that what we were discussing? Cuonzo's been a head coach for what 5 years? Some coaches having been coaching for decades and are still hoping for an NCAA birth. He'll make it this year.

Never said SEC play is great or the conference is good. Topic on hand was that Cuonzo can't coach in the SEC.

Based upon his tremendous success thus far???

21 and 13 in a weak SEC is not something to toot a horn about. Plus a Univ should not pay a guy 1.3 mill to learn how to coach and to learn how to make in the tourney.

and thats led to 2 NIT appearances while Florida is playing Elite 8s.

Cool.
Your bobcats still upset about the horrible Oakland loss?

And I agree with that. All the other guy said was Cuonzo can't coach in the SEC, but providing evidence of a winning record, I said he can coach in the SEC.

Yes a man whose leading the Florida series 3-0 and is 21-13 in SEC. CLEARLY, he can't coach in the SEC.

This isn't football bro. Coaching basketball in the sec is not terribly challenging and if you're not in the top 3 then you're not going dancing. Martin has been 4th and 5th so far. The sec is a weak basketball conference.

Um try 2nd in sec. People need to get their facts straight before they start bashing on Martin. This is why I hate the so called "cuonzo haters". I don't think he's going to make it here either but damn they post with ignorance

Pick your number. 2nd thru 4th were tied in number of wins in the sec, and the numbers were not stellar.

What do you mean 2nd in the SEC? You honestly think that this team is going to finish 2nd? We will finish ahead of Mizzou and Florida/Kentucky? You must be joking.

Hell, Alabama gave Wichita State as good of a game as we did, and they also played Duke tough.

Bama will be on the bubble as usual, but they are always tough at home. I think we beat WSU at home. But if you think our fans are all over Martin, wonder what Bama fans think about Grant?

If we were 5-5 this place would be on a nuclear meltdown crisis

Shoot, I guess I didn't even realize they were 5-5 this year. Grant is the king of losing early to mediocre teams and then playing decently in conference. This is his 5th year and only made the tourney once. But they probably don't care down there.

Season is hardly over, win the next 5 and we are in great shape. Anyone wanting to bet we won't make the tourney I would love to take your money.

Man wining the next 5 would be great. I can see it happening. The team needs to gell still. What do you think about Thompson maybe taking the starting roll from Barton?

I never thought I'd say this because I'm pretty conservative when it comes to lineups, but I gotta agree that Thompson and even Davis should be starting. If they can hold their own in the starting lineup, we'd have Hubbs, Barton, and Maymon coming off the bench with Moore sprinkled on top. If that could work, we would have a hell of a 2nd unit.

Agreed this is what I've been saying too. I'd love to see that starting lineup. I only want to see Stokes and Maymon on the court together for less than 10 minutes a game or maybe more if the team has strong post players. But if they are long we only need one in with AJ out there as well.

I don't see practice so I'm not gonna pretend to know, but Barton needs to play like he was or Thompson needs more minutes. I know he was nicked up last week, so maybe it's just a case of getting healthy, I don't know.

I would give Thompson and Davis more minutes though.
