We gave him credit for taking advantage of what the D gave him. If you think he did anything spectacular Saturday, I want what you're smoking.

I've read your postings here and I've come to the conclusion that you are running around with blinders on. Bottom line is that Hackney torched our secondary all day, period. UAB is unranked, UT is ranked 3rd - perhaps the word you use to describe Hackney is being applied to the wrong team?

Leak will throw for 5 touchdowns against us if our D-line and secondary don't show a marked improvement. It's not that I think leak is a better QB than Hackney (I dont) but Leak will have a far superior O-Line, better recieving corps and a running game than UAB and oh yeah they will be at home in the swamp.

Since we all seem to have opinions......

Maybe I missed the post where you gave him credit? And to be sure, our D wasn't giving anything - it was taken.

Alright..I'm done with this thread. Let's just agree to disagree.
Beat the Gators.
I hope 0427 will join me in concluding this banter.

I'm going to try something novel and address the original issue of this thread :p

My answer is yes - I would take DH over RC or EA. I've seen DH play as many or more games than either RC or EA and IMHO, he is a better QB. Neither of our guys have shown as much talent as I've seen out of DH. He has a better arm, better touch, and better mobility.

Some in this thread think 1) he got lucky, 2) he just took advantage of our bad play, 3) one game proves nothing. I've seen him at least 10 times and he is flat out good.

That being said, I support RC and EA. It's just reality to say there are players at some positions on other teams are better than some we have.

Go Vols

I second this...We need to be bashing the Gators not each other...Lets be mature and let this matter sleep.

You guys didn't even see the real Hackney. His WR last year, Roddy White was a first round draft choice. Hackney could drop back and toss a home run ball to White like you've never seen. He has some new WRs this year.

I've followed Hackney here in B'ham during his career. If he'd made better grades in HS, he'd not only be a starter in the SEC for ANY team, but he'd be a Heisman candidate as well. Hackney or Ainge? That is a freaking NO brainer.

You need to watch the game and leave your prejudice at the door.

It's because of these people that some posts get deleted. I challenge all of you to gain a sense of humor and maybe some thicker skin.

I am glad the game is over and if it wasn't for RC, we would be in Oklahoma shoes. How can you Blame Phil for Ainge lack of MO!!!!!!!!! He knew before the game started that he was coming out no matter how hot he was. If you are a good QB and when it is your turn to come back in, that don't mean throw the ball the way he did. I mean the first int was 10ft over the reciever's head and 15 yards down into the safety's hand. I was there and no excuse. Now what about the 2nd int. I guess that was Phil's fault to. Just because he is learning and hanging out with Peyton don't mean he is ready. The best qb for this team is Clausen for now. At least he take what the defense gives him and not acting like Jesse James in a gunfight. :gun: He beat Ainge out in spring and fall practice and still didn't get the job. Maybe we will see him lead Vols to the NC . :cross:

I've said elsewhere that if we'd been playing against Leak in that offense, we would have had 6 sacks.

Hackney is very big and very strong. I'd have to say he's one of the most physical QBs I've seen in a long time.

The average QB would have been on the ground a lot Saturday.
