it seems to me that we need to get our elite qb in 2010 because most of these guys seem to be dual threat which is not what kiffin wants.

Being a Dual-Threat isn't the problem, the problem with most Dual-Threats is that they don't have great mechanics because they are not in a throwing offense. We would take a D-T guy if they have the tools to work with.

Just wondering but where are you pulling this from?

I'm getting it from this board. Scroll down to the end of the page. Look for similiar threads, then you'll see 2011 National Top Fifty List. I thought Lemay was higher ranked also till I saw that ranking. I guess it depends on who's doing the ranking.

Oh, its the list from the ringer. Alright, thats fine. I've just never really put much stock in to them.

Basically though from what I've heard from people, seen, ..etc its basically

Bridgewater as the clear cut #1 player in the country

LeMay/Golson/Miller all in the same grouping in terms of ability/ranking/..etc

Uzomah/..etc a little bit below the rest but still solid prospects

Golson looks like a Donovan McNabb clone

The best part about all these QBs is they are all on the east coast which is a good factor in recruiting

Teddy Bridgewater

Dual-threat quarterback
Miami (FL) Northwestern

Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 170 lbs
Class: 2011 (High School)

Bridgewater is a Dual-Threat, but he has the size that Kiffin covets. He is the only one of the three that doesn't currently hold a UT offer. This dude's nickname is "Heisman".

As impressive as this kid is, I don't think this will be a kid that wants to play in a pro-style offense. He'll play at Neyland Stadium, but sadly he'll probably be in a Gators uniform.

actually it's quite the opposite.

"I like Georgia, Ohio State, Miami, Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida State," he said. "I was actually a Florida fan growing up. But I don't have them on my list because they don't run my type of offense. I'm more of a pro style quarterback and that's the style of offense I wanna play in."

Well that's interesting... Funny how he says that he's a Pro-Style QB when I didn't see him take one snap from under center and a formation that didn't have at least 4 WR's on the field at the same time. But hey, if he wants to be in a Pro-Style offense, then I would have to say that we actually may have a good shot at this kid as long as we look good this year.

it does seem a bit strange, but he's the type of athlete that could do both, IMO.

He'll likely stay in Florida though.

CJ Uzomah from North Gwinnett High School came to a 7-on-7 tournament at my high school on thursday and friday. They ended up winning the tournament and got an invitation to the national select 7-on-7. I thought that CJ did a really good job. He made some good throws and didn't throw that many interceptions.

I hear there's a pretty awesome QB at UTC that might have an interest in transferring here.
