Let's talk Yemen

Are we winning against the Houthis? Are they no longer enforcing sanctions on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea? So we fired 770+ munitions @ $1+ billion and what are the results?

"enforcing sanctions on Israeli shipping in the Red Sea"

You are geographically challenged. Haifa is on the Mediterranean coast. Elat is the Red Sea port.

Eilat is the third largest port in Israel, and has always received less traffic because it's not linked to Israel's national railway network, so the majority of ships have always taken the longer route through the Suez to Haifa and Ashdod, but please, do keep talking nonsense if it makes you feel better about the Houthis attacking ships filled with Russian oil

Finally a country (countries) gets it. That will get their attention.

their ports were seeing a decrease going back to 2021.

there are other reports expecting the trend down to continue long before October 2023.

not saying the Houthis haven't had an impact, but they don't seem to be solely to blame or even the genesis of this particular problem.

You’re wrong. Operation Prosperity Guardian has completely failed and the Port of Eilat’s financial woes are a direct result of the Houthis’ glorious battle against the infidels.

Houthis Burn Greek Oil Tanker in Red Sea, Mock US by posting video of blaze

Houthi terrorists attacked and later set fire to a Greek oil tanker this week in the Red Sea, posting footage of the carnage to mock the US and its allies who are supposed to be protecting the region’s vital shipping lines.

In the video posted Friday of the Sounion — which was carrying 150,000 tons of crude oil– the Iran-backed terrorists can be heard chanting the group’s slogan: “God is the greatest! Death to America! Death to Israel! Curse the Jews! Victory to Islam!” as the fire rages.

It is the third merchant ship Yemeni terrorists have destroyed in the Red Sea, following the sinking of the M/V Tudor — also Greek-owned — in June and Belize-flagged Rubymar in March.

BREAKING NEWS: U.S. bombs Yemen: Airstrikes launched on Iranian-backed Houthi targets

The U.S. bombed more than a dozen Houthi targets in Yemen in a series of airstrikes on Iranian-backed rebels on Friday.

Military aircraft and warships struck the militant strongholds and their weapons systems in five locations days after American warships were attacked in the Red Sea.

The joint operation with the British military is a sign of serious escalation with the Middle East still waiting to see if Israel will retaliate against Iran for the rocket barrage earlier this week.
