LMAO!! @ 'Nared isn't physical'. Nared is one of our most physical players without question. I've seen her flat out take some players out going after rebounds and she definitely has a mean streak. She isn't a poor defender nor is she a poor rebounder. But ... she isn't a post. But putting her in the same category as Moore and Dunbar in terms of, well ... basically anything, is simply off point. Dunbar is slow as cold molasses and Nia is just ... Nia.

I had to laugh at that as well regarding Nared! Ms. Nared played more than physical last season, idk what games they were watching! Especially as the season progressed!

Nared should be a good player for us. She's athletic and skilled, can rebound, and should be a consistent double-digit scorer for the Vols. It will be interesting to see if she starts or not. She's a nice complement to Graves at the forward spot, which would mean playing DeShields at the 2, and then it's either Reynolds or Carter at PG. If Warlick chooses to play Reynolds and Carter together, and DeShields at the 3, then Nared is 6th man and probably comes in for Russell and we play stretches without a true post. We need Nared, Reynolds and Carter to come on this year--to be solid to good consistently.

Holly loves both Draya and Jordan too much. They will both be starting. Personally, I don't mind Draya starting just because of her defense alone. It's that good. But I've already made my thoughts on the PG spots known with Te'a starting. Draya needs to be kept as far away from the PG spot as humanly possible.

I think Draya did a great job at PG the year before when Massengale went out. I think Draya is a great player. She just needs to be more consistent with her shot.

Anyone heard where Lexie Brown or Jessica Washington are transferring? I keep hearing GA for Lexie. Heard nothing about Jessica.

From what I gathered, before she settled on UNC, Washington was looking at Kentucky, Georgia, Notre Dame, Arkansas, Texas.

Oklahoma fan base and UNC fan base have used the term "Megan Simmons" when it comes to shot selection. She is from Tulsa. She stated she left because she didn't like her role on the team, and didn't care for a couple teamates. She wants a top program and be a starter basically. She just started following UCLA's head coach on twitter.

I haven't got a clue about Brown at this point....

than a shooting guard, frankly. She's too quiet offensively to be an effective 2 guard--or I should say she was last year. She COULD be a good 2, because she's athletic and has a nice jump shot, but she's got to be a bit more aggressive offensively and more consistent with her shot.

Do you think Reynolds is a good PG? I wouldn't say so. She's ok--that's what I'd say. That was our problem at guard last year--we had three, each with qualities, but not one that is/was the total package. Carter's strength is defense; Massengale could shoot 3s; Reynolds has size and can get in the lane--and yet all had/have deficiencies, helping us in some ways, hurting in others.

The main issue with us in the past is that we haven't had a go to player who just takes the game over.

We'll have to use them in the post but three of them are not post players and want be effective guarding the SC big girls. They dominated us on the boards in two game last year when we tried. Russell will make a huge difference hopefully she avoids injury next season.

You realize that it was Welch that did most of the rebounding damage in the Columbia game and a fair amount in the tourney, so a smaller person can make a difference if they make up their minds to do it.

I would love to see Ms. Diamond do awesome, but the ladies need that one person that the offense actually runs through. That's the key, and I'm not yet sure who that person will be.

I can't imagine Lexie transferring to Georgia. That team has been completely gutted. Would she really go from a back to back final four team to that? I doubt it. She'll want to play for someone who is a top twenty team at least. It has to be Tennessee or South Carolina.

I really hope she is considering Tennessee. Holly has put together a team that rivals that of uconn, if not better. I know that's a bold statement and many will scoff at that notion, but if you compare the two teams on paper, I think overall Tennessee is the better team. Yeah, they have Stewart, but we have diamond, and although Stewart has put up impressive numbers, she's no moore or Taurasi. If the USA trials are any indication, we also are better in the post. Also, don't sell graves short, she can hang with tuck any day. From what I've seen of cooper, she might well be just as good as Jefferson..def on the defensive end. Ya ya, they have the third best recruiting class coming in. Uconn fans brag incessantly about kls, with some even saying she's the next coming of Stewart or even EDD. To this I say nonsense!! She isn't even a consensus number one recruit for that class. Ya she's talented and I think she will be a good player, but I don't see her being as good or good as those players mentioned. Don't get me wrong, uconn will be hard to beat again this year, but so will Tennessee. with all the uconn fans crying over something that happened almost ten years ago and them still having all this success and still whining, I'm just thrilled at the prospect of meeting them in the ff4 or championship game, it might be a game they don't want to remember. So, Lexie Brown, come on down to Tennessee and let's put to rest who actually does have the best team :).

I'm not sure team or program success is a factor for her. After all, she just transferred from a program where she went to two FFs in her first two years.
