Most of my friends say that I am throwing my vote away by voting Libertarian. However, I am NOT voting for the status quo - Repugnican OR Demonflat. How are you going to look at your grandchildren and tell them that, yes, I voted for (fill in the blank), and he's the one that continued to spend your money and that's why you pay 60% taxes or that's why the country was ripped asunder and you speak Spanish/Chinese or that's why we now live in Canada. I just aint doing it.

Unfortunately in this election, I want to be able to look my grandchildren in the eye and tell them that I voted for the guy that stood the best chance of turning us around. Even though he wasn't my preferred candidate, I voted to keep this country from completely sliding into socialism because once you get there, you can't go back. And when he asks me why it didn't work I will tell him because a lot of people thought that voting for their guy in this critical election was the better thing to do. Instead of trying to get field position, we went for it on 4th and long and just didn't make it.

I'm not being critical of anyone (other than those that think Barry is our messiah) because you can vote like you want to. However, I am simply responding with my position on the OP.

"We have to spend money to make money"

"We don't have to be reasonable all the time"

They couldn't think of anything they would truly cut for the budget.

How do you fix the budget? Tax the rich.

Which programs should we cut? "I dunno, I am just an DNC chairman, go ask Congress."

"They are cockblocking him!"

Man the left scares the sh*t out of me when it comes of fiscal responsibility.

What were those "Failed economic policies of George W Bush" Obama kept harping on in the last election?

You can start with adding the cost of 2 wars and passing the Medicare prescription drug benefits without playing for them along with that tax cuts.

Romney may make good POTUS, if elected.
His rhetoric sounds like he will but his record does not match his rhetoric.
Actions speak louder than words.
Romneys record scares me so does Obamas.

We need a legit third party desperately.
That would take a lot of change to happen.

The day after this election regardless of who wins we all need to partisanship aside and put pressure on Washington to sit down and get something done for the betterment of America.
Like anything close to this will ever happen.

You think there is actually a chance of that happening with Obama in office? I say about as likely as seeing his sealed records anytime soon.

This.

I would testify in court that I truly believe you take a random sample of 100 everyday people and put them in a room, you'd get 90 that mostly agree. They may not be lock and barrel, but overall they'd be able to work towards a solution no problem. All of this crap you can blame the parties, politicians, W, Obama, and anyone in between. However, at the end of the day the buck simply stops with us. We are too caught up in trying to one up each other, and the sad thing is, it's not one upping our actual ideals. It's one upping our political parties that we hold so near and dear that are dry docking us every step of the way.

Reagan left the Democratic party because "They left him." With that, people we need to realize both of our parties left us along time ago, and they don't give a damn about this country and its future. They only give a damn about further enriching their lives, and we willingly let them, we are too stupid to see their smoke and mirrors game through social issues and any other hot point that gets us riled up. The only way to fix this country is for us to band together and collectively admit to each other that "Hey, we were wrong, lets move forward by lighting a fire under OUR REPRESENTATIVES no matter how much our alphabet soup lines up with them.

Ah, so you are one of the few that will refuse all treatment for cancer because it will kill you eventually? One of our family members was diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer in 2002. She celebrated her grandbabies being 12 weeks old this weekend. Just remember that when you think it is an all or nothing proposition. I think it was GAVol that said the presidential race is like field position. If Romney can win this year, we may have the ball at the 2. I don't think he is Peyton Manning, but I hope he isn't Curtiss Painter
