Life may be short

I finally got my Mom an appointment with a Dr in The Pat Summitt Clinic. Only problem is it's not till February but at least she's in. She's been on the Alzheimer's meds for awhile but I thought with all the research there that's the best place to go. This stuff is bad. My Grandmothers on both sides of the family had it and now I'm watching my Mom slip away right in front of my eyes and I'm her primary caregiver. Prayers please.

It's different for everyone, but it hurts just as bad. I moved back from Cali in 2002 when my Mom was diagnosed. She was a strong, healthy woman with total recall until the diagnosis at 93 years old. All you can do is love them as much as possible and spend as much time as you can with them.

Truth, been there done that. It is a horrible thing. Praying for you, 4ever. And sorry you had to go through it too, Sly. Mama was in 2009😔.

I thought I'd let my friends know in my favorite forum, that life isn't looking good,to be blunt I've been diagnosed with cancer

I'm not sure how it is going to go,i've been told that it has been found early, but I'm fighting with my insurance company right now,to get stuff done

so it beats the hell out of me,ya'll piss me off and are my friends at the same time, that does makes us all fans of the Lady Vols

this is the reason I've been a bit slow about getting stuff posted lately, life is sucking, but who knows.I'm hoping to make CHW's team make the opening of next season, hopefully, with some help from my friends, you know who you are

as I all ways say,Go Lady Vols :clapping:

I recognize your name from LV forum. I too have cancer and have been dealing with it since 2004. Mine is liver cancer and there is no cure. I went to Vanderbilt Medical Center first since it is close to home. I didn't especially like their treatment plans so I went to M.D. Anderson in Houston for a 2nd opinion. Their recommendations sounded better, so I went with them. If you would like someone to talk to about this you can call or text me at 931 801 2460. My name is Raymond. Merry Christmas!

Great news and hope you can go to a game this season. I see you mentioned the other C word and a ad showed up to remind us older folks to schedule the colonoscopy.

Same for me mule i know you are somewhat relieved!!

somewhat doesn't even come close :)

and thanks to all,you have no idea how much I lurked on here mulling things over,it helped a lot to keep all those wild thoughts at bay

I'm not one to talk about my problems, got that from my Dad and all my old relatives who are long gone,I surprised my self when I posted it on here, but I do truly appreciate all the positive words,it helped more that I can explain :hi:

and the Lady Vols are on one hell of a roll
