That thug has more influnce on society than Palin, Obama, or any other so call leader because more people would take his word seriously that a stimulus package or bailout proposal. Sorry for ranting but if the World renowned artist mentions our coach in his lyrics and in a positive light,

:eek:lol: pure gold man. Kudos

FWIW, Paul Finebaum played today the part of the song with CLK's name in it about 6 times in a row and actually said that he liked it.

It is really sad that the Tennessee Football staff is associated with this song and even worst that Lane Kiffin encourages it. A head coach should know better!

No matter what your taste in music is, the message that is being sent with these lyrics is in poor taste and not what our young people should be listening too. God help us if this is where we are going!

Do any of you honestly think that the "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll" era sent a much better message? Really? Older people always try to act like the current younger generation is so much worse than they were.

You cant be serious. Lil Wayne is one of the most popular rap artists out there. It dosent matter if highschool kids dont buy CD's (but of course they do) they will hear it even if it isnt on the radio.

You're right, kids don't buy cd's anymore. Only because they don't have to. You can download the whole mixtape for free on datpif.com like I just did yesterday  How can you not like lil wayne?

Good point. I get tired of hearing that argument. If anything it was the same as rap if not worse.

If you understood the origin and growth of Hip Hop, you would take back that statement. This rappers are like country music singers, they reflect their culture and their reality. I don't listen to classical, heavy metal or country but if there was a blue chip quarterback who liked classical, I would jump for joy if Beethoven did a rendition of Rocky Top! I don't comment on what I don't know but Hip Hop is not just booty shaking and making it rain. It is a reflection on their culture. These rappers come from the same neighbor as still recruits! Ignorance is not bliss, learn before you comment or you look Judgmental(read Matthew 7:1 for reference) Go Vols!

I may understand much more than you realize. Just because I have an opinion that is different than yours does not mean than I don't understand the source or you have the right to accuse me of judging. There is right and there is wrong in every culture. Encouraging kids to be involved in illegal activity, from any source for the sake of recruiting, is not acceptable from people that are in leadership positions. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

No one said that any music that encourages the wrong message was better. I think it is very funny when people assume that they know who you are and from what generation you are from. Wrong has been wrong from the beginning of time.
