Lindsey Nelson Stadium,

I’m tired of seeing renderings of stadium improvements only to have plans changed. We’ve seen some beautiful plans for the exterior facade of Neyland’s south side, only to redraw it into something far less attractive. This after delaying for a decade.

I don’t trust any rendering I see or that half of what’s planned will actually get done.

The outside facade is part of the addition of suites, so I’d expect that to definitely happen

Renderings are nothing more than a visualization of the project based on input from the university. In the real world, after engineers and accountants get involved, things are always going to change based on the complexity and design of the original structure and the final product. With +/-$90 million, it's going to be excellent whether or not it looks identical to something some artist drew up 3 years prior. Just my $0.02.........

And...a large number of the different renderings floating around lately have just been people goofing off with AI generators. That has quite a few people thrown off.

Yes. The main one floating around lately is no way realistic. I believe it will generally be like the one last year without dorm which was not part of the LNS renovation but added. I hear the problem with it was figuring out parking for those students.

I think the only place you see new seats this year is down rf line. I’m guessing they put temporary seats back over new infrastructure and concrete. Just my guess. But maybe.
If they're pouring concrete down the LF line, I see no reason not to build the intended stands there now, unless they plan to access the field through that area for future improvements during this build.

Donde was on the Nation with Low and AP last night. She dropped some hard numbers the AD hasn't, or at least it was news to me . 900 new seats for regular people. Everything else is upscale- boxes, suites, loges. So 450 people at best are getting new season tickets and it probably won't be that many. Demand won't be going down anytime soon if this is the case.

That's a bit disappointing.

that's just for this phase or the end result?

900, heck the existing season ticket holders will swallow those up.

I'm guessing that may be the whole thing for those available at regular prices. If you look at the pictures, most of the additions will be for suites and luxury seating. There is very little being added for normal tickets. The only seats added for normal seats will be the ones in front of the current hitting facility. I do not know of any additional normal seating being added. But I would guess by looking at it that you might lose some seating in left field from last year to the new seating because you have the large patio area out there and those tables really will not add much seating but they are considered in the luxury seats. If you look at all the suites and luxury boxes, that is where the main seating will be added and that will not be this year. Sorry. That is life in today's world so colleges can do stupid things like pay a guy $27,000 a day for 8 years not to coach. The really bad part is you are gonna look up there every weekday game and most weekend games and those suites are gonna be vacant. Someone told me how much revenue a suite and luxury box brings in to each game and it is crazy because of food and such along with usage fee. And we all know it is really all about the money.
