For one, there could be scheduling problems for much of the spring, although those could probably be worked out. Second, and probably most important, CTV has stated previously that he wants the team playing a vast majority of their home games on a campus stadium. Much easier logistically for the players.I am not from the area and maybe this was already covered in this thread, but why are two baseball stadiums being renovated/built at once? Why didn’t the Vols and the new minor league team put their money and efforts into one stadium? Just coordinate the schedules until the college season ends. Wouldn’t that have saved tens of millions of dollars?

Wouldn’t be the first time a pro sports team played their games at an on campus college arena/stadium.For one, there could be scheduling problems for much of the spring, although those could probably be worked out. Good question, and I can see why someone would question the dual constructions.
I thought the entrance to g16 was on the other side on Pat Head Summit St? That arrow I don't think is an entrance or a road.I was on campus today at Stokely Hall. The road beside Stokely Hall is closed due to construction. They also closed the entrance to the G 16 parking garage where I drew the arrow. That means there is only one way in and one way out of that parking garage, so it will be a mess getting in and out for baseball games.View attachment 719082
That is the entrance/exit that’s not presently closed.View attachment 719092
I drew a circle on the entrance
Uggggghhhh. Thanks for the update. That's exactly where I would've headed next Friday.I was on campus today at Stokely Hall. The road beside Stokely Hall is closed due to construction. That means there is only one way in and one way out of that parking garage, so it will be a mess getting in and out for baseball games.
And that directly impacts butts in the seats when the game starts. They always mention that the fans start to file in later on game days. The pedestrian bridge will eventually help that.I'm REALLY hoping they'll just run some buses from the Ag campus for at least midweeks and when there are conflicting events at TBA.
Parking was a nightmare most days last season until school let out.
