Lineup and minute distribution in 2018-19

I saw Collins game improved during last season, and I think she will put in the work. If she just get on the boards, good things will happen for her. I mean some of our best post players didn't have much lift, Nicky, Pashen, Abby, etc. lol

Yeah, I think she's more of Bashaara type player than Glory, but that's where I think her size will help her on this level, for the most part all of our bigs, carving out space.

Yes, I love Rae's game, feel like everyone about her potential, its going to be the pace and physicality, the nerves, and playing on the biggest stage. curious to see what type of works she puts in.

Rennia and E, play like the two best players in the country, and Meme plays like a senior then it will give the others time to adjust.

Also, feel Holly will play her starters till their tired or unproductive, 5 to 7 players needs a lot of time on the court together, E, Rennia and Jackson getting 30 plus minutes.

Here's to players getting in the gym, going forward. WE need All Americans, not average players.

Which player out of the last two classes you think will be All Americans before their career is over?

Does anyone know the coaching positions or players assignment?
Dean: Post or Forward or just Post?
Nicky was a warrior with size 6-4 and was strong. And now with Nicky on the staff she can help Collins.

I hope that Holly is a able to give the starters some quality rest this year. Playing your star players 37 minutes a game tells me that the coach has little confidence in the bench. I think the bench will be much better this year and as good as we have had for a while even if they are young.

Notre Dame, Uconn, Louisville, etc, they play their best players (starters) for most of the game. Our ladies need to get in better shape.

As a player, you want to play, only if your not effective. Play them into shape, or play them onto the bench!

The schedule this year should help, but in big games and SEC, I see our starters getting majority of the minutes.

I agree if we have an opportunity against lesser opponents, blow them out, bench get reps.

They are getting quality rest, they are not playing everyday. Ijs.

Being a prior D1 athlete it’s not all about not playing all the time it’s more about are you taking care of your body, getting adequate nutrition, getting enough rest, and time management. Having tough practices can take as much out of a player as the games or events because it usually takes a day/two to recoups from strenuous activities. That’s where (like you said) getting the bench in and playing them in blowouts is important because fatigue is one of the main contributing factors to injury.

Nice post!

So many things off the court, determines a player success, let's hope this group embrace being a Lady Vols, on and off the court.

My take on playing time depends on how much of a lead the starters can get and hold. For the past two seasons, we could not get enough of a lead for others to get minutes and rest for the core group of players.

Plus, I think some of it is behind the scenes, missing classes, not practicing hard. Sometimes players are not playing for a reason.
