1. Had to be in Newark for lunch today, so I tried out the highly recommended Don Pepe's. It was good, but I'd rank La Costa in Knoxville ahead of it.
2. Good buzz for the games tonight. New York loves The Next Big Thing, and in Beasley, Rose, and Mayo, they're getting it in triplicate.
3. It always amazes me how transfixed people are with the tree at Rockefeller Center.
4. The Yankee fans are holding prayer vigils in hopes that J. Santana will be wearing pinstripes.

I think it will be an extremely intriguing game to watch. It'll be a real test for USC's youth. If they hang in tonight, after playing Kansas to the wire Sunday, Tim will have to be happy with the state of his team.

I've always thought Thomas was a bum. I had forgotten about Vecsey though. I think he used to do NBC NBA games (could be wrong) but never see him much anymore.

The thing that enrages me the most about the Tinsley thing is that he and Isiah have very similar backgrounds. Had Mary Thomas passed away while Zeke was playing for the Pistons, he would have physically assaulted anyone on the roster who didn't attend the funeral. Well, except for Adrian Dantley. He hated him anyways.

I think Knight realizes he's taken Tech as far as that program can go. They've got a decent young nucleus, so he wouldn't be leaving the cupboard bare for Pat. I just don't see what's left in it for him.
