*****Live NFL Draft Discussion thread

Well dipping to the 3rd round (or later) some guys may have been better taking some NIL money.

I was just thinking this. Wonder what the money difference is for Hyatt at this point falling into the 3rd at best as opposed to coming back to Tennessee and collecting nil cash. Oh well, too late now.

I love Boyd but I could live with that deal...
Yeah, my thoughts are we're not gonna be able to resign him anyway, but they might be willing to spend for a defensive contributor.

I didn't watch Boyd in college, but after his rookie year, I knew J. Malone was a long shot to surpass him when Malone got drafted the following year. Unless he lands somewhere else in the AFC North, I'll always pull for Boyd.

I think Boyd is one of the few significant contributors left over from the Marv Lewis era.

Here is something I would like to see changed. If a player has eligibility left, let them pull out of the draft if they have not been selected at any point.

I might could go along with letting them go to the combine but once the draft starts you’ve sealed your fate. It would probably affect recruiting as well.

Sportrac says 3rd round picks will get around 1.3-1.4 million/year contracts

No.

Would cause chaos with scholarships.

Honestly, these are grown adults. Declaring is a big decision. All of them want to get drafted high. Some do. Some don't.

It's their decision. If they make a bad one, that is on them.

I’m not just referring to the Vols being passed over. I watched enough games of the current picks to know there are several busts teams just threw their money away on.

It’s impossible to know how someone will transition to the next level.

I’m not sure how they’re getting screwed. Teams are taking the best players they feel could help their team. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy it happens every year.

It’s not a conspiracy. They are getting screwed period. Stats don’t lie. Tape doesn’t lie. Think whatever you want.

I know it won't be today if it happens, but what's the work on Jeremy Banks?

Any chance he's a day 3 pick? Or is he destined to be an UDFA?

I understand that perspective because I felt that way as well once, but the portal has me considering the other side.
