Local news confirm Downs and Crowder will commit to UT

WCYB out of Bristol had a news report on at 6 o'clock. Downs and Crowder will commit to UT on Friday. Downs said he grew up a fan and Crowder said that it was down to the vols and vandy. He said that when Bobby Johnson stepped down it made his choice much easier.

Have you seen their film? They may be 3 stars but they are definitely solid pick ups. Especially Mack Crowder. I am super stoked about the tandem, myself.

The report showed them during two-a-days. Unfortunately, they both had sleeves on. Must not want it bad enough... JK, welcome to the Vols fellas!

Isn't it reasonable to assume at least some of these kids will be upgraded to 4 stars depending on well they play their senior year?

these boys maybe 3 star players now but they want to be vols more than all you five star as. holes welcome to ut. as. hole probably never been on a football field

Yeah... and we all know that when Rivals or Scout gives a player their 4th star they automatically become better athletes and football players.

Dooley is apparently using a formula that accounts for raw ability, intelligence, and character. We will see if it works... I am personally optimistic about it.

Stars have a lot to with what teams offer a player. Are players are being offered by Big East teams and bottom of the SEC teams.
