I love how every good thread turns into an argument about stars.. I guess your mom didn't tell you, "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all." It really isn't that big of a deal that they aren't 4 star players yet because they have a great chance at moving up in rankings after their senior season.

Oh, and to the guy that said this class was awful. Do you honestly think it matters how many commits we have so far? They could all decommit for all we know. All I care about is the state of the class on NSD.

I think better than stars, is to look at who else is recruiting the player. The teams that are at the top, Fla. Bama, Texas, etc are who we need to be competing with. We are not doing so well on that front and that worries me.... It is what it is though...

Star worshipers kill me. If a kid can play football, I don't care about what a scouting service says about him. When a football staff brings in players for camps and evaluates them, then they get an offer, that should tell you all you need to know.
Dooley and staff knows what an SEC caliber player looks like.

Its extremely difficult to compete with these teams in recruiting when you have had three different head coaches in the last three years. We havent played for any championships in while either... give it time. Give the new coaches time to build a relationship with the recruits. Remember... no one has seen this staff on gameday yet. I know it's frustrating but we've been spoiled... we will be back on top soon... and competing for the elite players as well.

You can take Nick Stephens, JaKouri Williams, Todd Campbell, Tyler Maples, Ben Bartholomew, Preston Bailey, Carson Anderson, Darius Myers, Chase Nelson, and Darryl Vereen.

I doubt Dooley gets on Rivals and checks the star ratings to decide what players to recruit. It is my understanding that recruiting has a completely different process that doesn't include coaches depending on Rivals to spot talent.

How many stars did Montori Hughes have?
