Well a bammer did shoot his own son after a bammer loss. But I sure hope there was no foul play. As much as I dislike bammer and LY. I hope he did not suffer and I feel for his family.
i remember this happening

Not to defend the Bammers but he shot AT him - he didn't shoot him.

He tried but missed from point blank range :birgits_giggle:

Maybe in the long run this is the best thing for him to be going away.....( not that brutal murder is good for anyone) his lawsuits will not go forward, Bama is off all probation soon... When we win the NC next year all will be forgotten....

I know it's a stretch, but if something like that did happen, it would probably be one of, if not the biggest sports scandal in the history of all sports, not just college football. We can all sit here and say that we wouldn't do it, but if it happened, everyone of us would more than likely be tuned into the Finebaum show each day to get the latest scoop. As much as I hate Finebaum, we all know a scandal like that would have Slimey licking his chops.

I do not think it is a stretch at all. It is a proven fact that UT is insanely jealous of Alabama football. They believe that, if not for Bama, they would be kings of SEC football. They would do ANYTHING to change that fact.

In Fact, I think that UT leads the Bama series only in one sport, women's basketball

Most of our Tide posters aside, don't forget that there are many as nutty as the one who posted the above comments. "It is a proven fact that UT is insanely jealous of Alabama football"

Those wins over Duke, Florida International, Hawaii and Louisiana-Monroe should shoot you straight to the top of the BCS :birgits_giggle:

I think you're a year early in your predictition...too much defense to replace and a QB to break in.

I believe it to be true...Alabama's got the probation to prove it. But it's also true that these were "boosters" bidding for this kid. Roy Kramer, in his own admission in court transcripts, notified ALL schools EXCEPT Alabama that rogue boosters were doing this...they "reigned in" their boosters and Alabama was hung out to dry. This isn't "conspiracy speculation" it is fact...it's also ancient history and the playing field is approaching level again. :D

"Offered" is much different than "ponied up the cash".
Is it?...I was merely pointing out that Tenn was also involved in the bidding, as much as Alabama was, since y'all enjoy labeling Bama "cheaters". If not for Kramer's warning y'all could have been proud recipients of Mr. Means' services.

Hmmmmm....
"Lang testified at Young's trial that other universities, including Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas, Memphis, Mississippi, Michigan State and Tennessee, offered him money or jobs to get Means."

How did all that turn out?

Hmmmm...Bammer on probation, coaches fired, Logan Young prepared for jail, who knows what happened to Albert Means, all those other schools in the clear. Seems Lang wasn't a particularly credible witness whatever he testified.

Talk about bad Return on investment.

As far as all this pay for play goes - you are stupid to think that the majority of colleges DO NOT participate.
