if i was a Florida fan I would be thrilled
The only reason they hated CLK cause he talked trash to meyer
well now they hate meyer, and he is bowl ineligible
what they thought was a rebuilding year of sorts has them in the BCS. I would love to be in there shoes.

A lot of that's often the fault of the human polls/voters having a less-than-a-week-long memory

...another part is how whoever decided that the conference championships would actually factor into a team's seasonal record

True, but it would be tough to say that the game does count as long as you win it, but it doesn't count if you lose it. I don't know what the best solution is, I just know that it's a pretty common occurrence for the loser of the game to get screwed while a team that sat at home and watched that weekend gets rewarded.

I don't like florida one bit but this is football and about respect. Making fun of a 1 loss team is as stupid as it gets. I'm surprised and I didn't see it coming.

It's also a reason why UT has to get some ballers and a qb that can extend drives with his legs. As big of an issue the florida passing game could be, Driskell won them 2 or 3 games, imo, by extending drives and leading in the 4th quarter.

It's not all about stats to get w's. Ask Bray.

To bad Georgia will end up in the Cap 1 Bowl even though they beat UF ---

True, but the bowls proved long ago they're not anything about being "fair".

Vandy is probably going to be stuck at the Music City Bowl again, and that's got to be a bit of a kick in the groin knowing that after your best season in forever, they're going to get rewarded with the same bowl they got in 2008 when they limped to the postseason at 6-6. If "fair" had anything to do with it, they'd probably be a lock for the Chik-Fil-A Bowl but since their lack of support will likely kill that.

They woke up this morning with a chance to be in the national championship. After a fla st. scare, they ended up pulling it off, and all their hopes resided with LANE KIFFIN. Can you imagine what that last goal-line stand must have been like for gator fans? Kiffin screwed over 2 states tonight. I LOVE it.

edit: my bad mods...I actually meant to post this one in the dreaded "around the ncaa".

pretty funny but not as funny as waking up being 5-7 and thinking Gruden is your next coach. :eek:lol:

How could you even suspect a potential loss to UT? We are on the home stretch of a decade long losing streak to UF. Two more and it reaches double digits.

As I recall a lot of Vol fans liked our chances against Florida going into that game. Count me as one of those fools.

I thought UF had a great year and outperformed what I expected of them considering the situation.

Bama has yet another cupcake SEC schedule next year, another year of no USC, no UGA and no UF.

Florida needs to get significantly better on offense, similar to LSU.

Like it or not, Florida has had one heck of a year. They were 1 game from a NC. If they played Georgia again, I think they'd win. I honestly feel that if you looked at their schedule, the team they wouldn't want to play again is A&M. There on a hot streak.

I don't want any part of A&M right now.

We were lucky to get them early.

Yea I would much rather be 5-7, 2nd straight yr without a bowl and on our 4th coach in going on 6 yrs than 11-1 and playing in the Sugar bowl. Yea take that Muschump, got you right where we want you.

I don't think any team wants A&M right now! I see you guys gettin matched up with Oregon. Stop the O and the games yours.

that would be awesome but i dont think it happens

fla vs. oregon could probably rival the title game in ratings tho

Yeah to bad the chumps dont schedule someone like that instead of in state schools

This is about all you have isn't it? This and jorts.

I know the best way to get under the skin of my rivals is to mention their out of conference, out of state scheduling.

It absolutely infuriates them.

I tell 'em "hey, after you beat the crap out of us again, could you please play an ooc opponent out of your own state"

It burns

We play FSU every year, but that doesn't count....got it. It's not like our in-state rival is lowly Vandy. You guys don't have to worry about Vandy beating the Vo...wait, what?

When the BCS adds an out-of-state, out-of-conference strength of schedule requirement, your weak sauce will have some merit. As it stands, UF played one of the nation's toughest schedules.

We play FSU and LSU every year, UT doesn't.

It cuts right down to the bone buddy....who can enjoy a season like this without scheduling a quality opponent from another conference outside the state of Florida?
