I didn’t even know that you could review a penalty like that. Maybe they should’ve taken another look at the “face mask” penalty or Beck’s clear false start as well?

Yes they moved on quickly. In other big games they would dissect the crap out of that and the squirrel catch. Yes the ball moved but his hand looked like it was under the ball. Fastest replay ever. The official never looked back to see if he was off the field. There’s no rule to how fast you run off the field. Ga ran people on late…

Truth is we all have watched many games and have never seen them call that, no matter how long they take to get off the field. Herbstreet said himself, he’s never seen it called.
Refs took every opportunity to help the dogs on that drive.

I think the Vols have used this strategy before to run down the clock and make the other team have to snap it fast or get a delay of game. At some point you know this is getting complained about to the SEC office.

It didn't work and we had the player attempting to jet off the field after strolling to the sideline but he was too far away.

This is coached by the staff. If offense subs late we sub late and do so slowly to try to get the delay of game. I’ve never seen an official allow this like they did for UGA to start the play when a player is still trying to get off.

I’ve never seen a review of a player substituting, I’ve seen guys take their time getting off the field before , hell they’re told if the offense subs you can substitute so he thought he was burning their play clock. The fact they reviewed that and it was a 50/50 call on the sideline .. cmon man

They said last night it was a call the booth could initiate a review on. The eye in the sky saw the same lollygagging OP did. I remember thinking at the time "damn, hurry up". What pissed me off originally was that no flag was thrown on the field, but if it is a call that can be reviewed by the booth on its own initiation, I think we all can see what drew their attention in OP's video.

I think it’s obvious he was coached to do this. I can’t remember who against last season, but we actually caused a delay of game because they didn’t give the defense enough time to sub. If you really think this is Moi’s effort, then you haven’t been watching his snaps this season.

His taking of his sweet azz time is quite noticeable on OP's video though. I was originally pissed because I thought there had to be a flag on the field but if not, then it was fair game. I think Moi or someone did realize he had overplayed it because he started hustling at the end. Too late.

In my opinion his sub was already in and nearly at the LOS when Moi started to jog off. I take the rule as they have to allow time for the replacement to come in, but then roughly 3-5 seconds to allow the player to get off the field. Moi is coached to slowly get off the field. More times than not, it has work in our favor.

Fairly certain UGA wasn’t set though, so that should have been called as well, but it’s not reviewable
