One that has to go on my list of British comedies is „Are You Being Served“ (one you could never make today for sure). I was also a fan of Keeping Up Appearances.
I don’t know how far back your exposure to US sitcoms go, but in my opinion the golden age of the US sitcom was the 1960s. You might want to check out The Beverly Hillbillies and Green Acres if you have never watched them. (Gilligan‘s Island too if you have a high enough silliness tolerance).
A lot of my fellow Yanks of my age group are big fans of The Andy Griffith Show as well

I am about to subscribe to BritBox. There are so many classic British Comedies that I just have trouble finding otherwise. I am anxious to check out Fools and Horses and Dad’s Army. You folks really set the gold standard for comedy and for that this liberated colonist thanks you heartily

About of 80% of what we watch outside of news and sports is on Acorn.

Shame on me for having forgotten so soon, "Are You Being Served?" I loved that show.
Another that I loved just as much, was "Allo, Allo." Nobody can do an endearing shameless rogue like the Brits can. 😁

Bucket is to see United blast Chelsea/Liverstool/City at Old Trafford. Want to tour North as well, do some sightseeing, maybe flip Charles off if there's time.

Hope you bring them better luck than me. Went over in ‘13 just after United had sealed the PL championship and they lost 1-0 to Chelsea—United’s first time shutout at Old Trafford in 61 matches. Oh, and by the time I got off the plane back here in the states Sir Alex had announced his retirement 😩

I did get to see a helluva relegation match between Wigan & West Brom. Lukaku came off the bench to score two great goals late.

1-0, sounds exactly like a United match.

Never understood the Happy Days thing, it had to be a generational thing. The Friends deal was, so it follows that older folks than me, would like a show such as that.
