Did anyone watch this before it was cancelled and moved to Netflix?

The last episode I saw was the season finale where the young cop was either about to get shot by the old man and the screen went blank then the show was cancelled. Can anyone tell me what the outcome of that particular scene was? Did the cop get shot or was he quick enough to take out the old guy?

Yeah, I haven't seen it since that either! I do plan on eventually getting the Blu-ray/DVD sets to finish the series!
