Looking ahead to Texas A&M

Wouldn't surprise me if we win both by double digits

Everytime we all think this, they come out flat, shoot poorly and look like they had too much weed the night before. Our coach even forgets to call Stokes' number during his surprise, spirit-busting time outs.

Then the win comes and we hope it will be different. But it isn't.

Maybe they will keep their intensity this time?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Just hope if there is any intensity that Zo doesnt call a timeout to put a stop to it. Cant have any of that going on.

We have a few days rest on them, as they'll play Thursday night and get a quick turnaround to Saturday. This should play into our hands, if we take the exact same approach as we did versus Georgia. They cannot match our size and we'll get layups and free throws all day. How we lost to them before still confuses me. We just cannot afford another loss like that. And if we keep feeding Stokes, instead of taking a ton of threes, we may finish this season on a roll.

O.k., cool. Be sure and tell Coach Zo that.

Didn't we already lose to this team in Knoxville?

Now you think we can pull of a win on the road at thier place?

Even with CM that game was a fluke, we win that game 9.5 times out of 10. I expect a win on Saturday (but still wouldn't be shocked at all if we lost)

Texas A&M at home is 5 wins one loss in SEC. Should have beaten Vandy in Nashville, blew big lead at end. Texas A&M ranks 304th in offense points per game. 24th defensively....low scoring game.. Hope Barton and Richardson play big role. Bench Maymon. Tennessee will win or lose 64-58.. If they score 70, they will win...In Knoxvile the all powerful Tennessee offense scored 6 big points in the first ten minutes of second half. Maymon missed 3 straight foul shots at end....hopefully revenge will motivate.....Texas A&M tough, Vandy tough, Missouri very tough......there is the season.........Watch out for long scoring droughts!!!!!

Didn't watch the game, but their box score looked pretty solid last night.

Guessing we'll be favored by 4.5

Gotta attempt to keep a decent pace against them, don't completely allow them to slow you down offensively. Get it into stokes early in the shot clock and let him go to work.

we need to follow the same game plan we had against Georgia. Play an inside out game.

They basically have one guy who scores consistently, hence the 304 ranking. Losing to this team, home or away, is like a kick in the nads. UT better get it together and take care of business. The problem I see, which has been UT's problem several times, is you can count down 9 guys on A&M's roster that average 5.5pg or better. You can only count down 5 on UT's before it gets into the 'irrelevant points territory'. But with our top 4 scorers, we should beat them at home, away or on a playground. And we can outrebound them. It should be a sure thing really, against them. But the lack of bench has hurt UT.

Agree. We need to follow that gameplan the rest of the season, the question I have is will we? Or will we lose focus in a game we may be struggling to start out in, start jacking up 3s and never get back to our gameplan.

We don't have the guards to run and gun, our ticket THIS year to the NCAA is the slow, half court grinder Cuonzo style ball we complain about, as much as I hate to say it, or see it.

Definitely a must win game. We better figure out their defense early and take what they are giving us. Need to play with a little basketball IQ which we failed to do in the second half at Missouri.

May as well settle in.
Next year will probably be even more painful than this one.
Martin will dance and get an extension.

He's hoping they lose because he's a real fan and doesn't want Martin here.

Because true VFLs definitely want their team to lose and miss the tournament. Hmmm makes sense

IMO even fans who don't like Cuonzo should pull for the Vols no matter what.

Explain that to the guy that said "hopefully this is the beginning of the end" when that would only be if the Vols don't Dance, which a loss would pretty much do it.
