Looking at the Schedule, NOW

Bama’s defense looked clueless vs Vandy. Milroe is either Heisman contender or average from one game to another

I think 90% of us would have gladly taken 4-1 through the first 5 before the season started with road games at Oklahoma and Arkansas and the neutral game vs NC St.

5-2 in our next 7 is a successful season. Anything worse is a major disappointment.

6-1 or better is playoffs and national title contention.

The roster, at least as far as the younger guys are concerned, is pretty well loaded with 4*s. Staff has to develop these guys. Elarbee has been here since the get go. Something has to change with development of these guys soon.

Then those young guys should be given a chance. OTs especially have played poorly the last two games.

Do you think Heupel is calling games conservative because he just doesn’t like scoring points?

I think Heupel has been very conservative in his playcalling because he is playing not to lose. OU game was somewhat understandable as the field was not great shape.....

The playcalling at Arkansas was just downright questionable.

Heupel had to call conservative plays because his offensive line was getting destroyed. Heard couldn’t block a phone number.
So you have to know Heard's Issues, (You see Him in practice) and you run some quick WR motion screens or RB screens and get the Ball out before the rush gets to Nico. And maybe you play someone else. Couldn't be any worse than what we saw Saturday.

What do you see? Definite Wins? Utep, Miss St? Toss ups Uk, Vandy, Uf? Scary loss possibles/probables bama, uga? Ark was only one game, but what an effect on the outlook....

Road games are always difficult see Ole Miss, Georgia, Arkansas, and Tennessee which is something a lot of our fans don’t seem to understand. This was always going to be a 9-3, 10-2 type season unless you really drank the Koolaid and thought we would beat all three of our rivals in the same season which almost never happens

Crompton said Heupel doesn’t fully trust Nico to run the offense
If that’s the case, then why the hell are we starting him? I think that’s most likely bs. Gaston Moore has to know the offense like the back of his hand at this point. And while he’s not anywhere close in terms of talent, you always would rather have the guy you trust to run the offense

My guess was 9-3 before the year. I think 8-4 right now unless something drastically changes and the Offense figures it out suddenly. Nico and the offense and just nowhere near whay i thought it’d be. They are floundering right now.

I'm guessing best case is 9-3

Probable 8-4. Lose to Bama, Ga, and either Fl or Ky
Sad but true friend....That Arky. performance was really a punch in the gut by both coaching and players. My love for the Orange is still true but I have serious/glaring concerns. I could list them for all who, like me that care but it would take a Excel spread sheet haha. But win/lose or draw,

Yep. How can we not have serious concerns after Saturday? I see Bama and UGA as better than us, FLA, UK as pretty even. I watched that Vandy team go right at the Bama D hard and just make plays against them. We’ve had six quarters now of not consistently making plays. Going forward, I have no idea what to expect, honestly.

UGA and Bama: toss ups
Vandy and Kentucky: tough but should win
Miss St, UTEP, Florida: wins by 10 or more points.

The offensive line has been an area of concern every fall camp throughout the season. They recruit high level talent but they never reach potential and transfer because a player comes in thru the portal. A perfect example is Addison Nichols. Couldn’t get any playing time for the Vols. Was basically 3rd team behind Mays and Dwayne Davis. Goes to the Hogs and starts as a RS Soph. Paying Heard a supposed $1M a year and in my opinion is playing like a $50K guy. Vols definitely have an OL coaching issue. I don’t care how many highly rated OL recruits they get this will be the weakest position on the team every season.
OL coach does less, with more, than any assistant coach they have.

I think we'll know after the Florida game.
If they come out with the same predictable, conservative play calling we will likely lose to FL as bad as they are and not much reason to believe they are going to get better.

If the O-line is struggling to protect, there are so many ways to create plays using TEs, RBs, rolling the pocket, screens, quick passing game, etc to take the pressure of the OL and get Nico some better options.

Heupel shouldn't have needed a wake up call loss to Arkansas to know throwing in the flat, running up the middle, and an occasional deep shot isn't gonna get it done.
I agree that the play calling was bad, but throwing in the flat, running up the middle, and an occasional deep shot DID get it done against Oklahoma, at their house, and damn near got it done in Fayetteville too. Going through the rest of the schedule, though, it's clear that game plan won't get it done. Saturday is going to be a get right game, I think. I do wish we still had Jalen Hyatt blowing past people, though, not gonna lie.

Bama loses to perennial bottom feeder Vandy and its “woah Vandy must be good” … we lose to a good Arky team and its “look how bad we are”… never change UT fans

I watched that Vandy game a little bit ago because I only caught pieces of it Saturday . Telling you right now , if we don't get our sh-t together , they're gonna run us off the field. Their qb is no joke.

I picked UT 9-3 at beginning of season and will stick with it. Thought the loss would be to Sooners rather than Hogs.

If we lose to Fla, major blow will hit the coaching staff with many fans calling for assts to be replaced

Had some on here come at me for saying we still don’t know that much about this team even after OU and we will know more after Arkansas. Well, now we know. If something doesn’t change with this OL and offensive output and we lose a few more, Danny White may need to “encourage” Heup to make some changes starting with GE, maybe Halzle too. I had moderate confidence after OU. I’ve lost a lot since watching that Arky game.

Newsflash... Vandy IS a good team, and If Tennessee doesn't get it together, look out. They completely outcoached the bammers.
