One year removed from Atlanta. Should have tried harder to get Cutcliffe instead of Fooley. Phil was hamstrung in who he could hire by Hamilton. We have made enough blunders to last a lifetime.:hi:

This thread feels like Groundhog Day with Bill Murray. We seriously gotta move on and quit wallowing over what could've and/or should've happened.

Unfortunately it's not in the past. I love my school and literally catch hell about them nearly every single day, twice yesterday. I put in a bid to UT and they are so difficult to work with and had some bizarre stipulations that I finally had to withdraw. As much as I hate to say it, working with the "little Vatican" (Vandy) has been much simpler.

If you're speaking of contracted work, likely that's because of the whole public vs private institution.

I am but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I work with the military, state and federal government, all kinds of private and UT was by far the most bizarre scenario. Also work for over half of the SEC schools. Wal-mart easier to work with if that says anything...I was shocked.

Introduction: Soft violin plays a melancholy tune.
A buckskin clad man enters, dancing a strange jig. His feet hits the floor with at - THUMP- THUMP THUMP- THUMP-THUMP THUMP THUMP-THIMP THUMP-THUMP
He sits on stool. The violin fades slowly away. The man begins his tale:

"I will tell you a story which was told to me when I was a young man. Every time I thought of the story, it seemed to me to become more and more charming, for it is with stories as it is with many people: they become better as they grow older. This is the story of Tennessee Phil. You may have heard of him already. But I bring you a new old story. For as I said, stories become better as they grow older. Even if the story ends sadly as this one who can't let what was stay in the 'was' where it belongs."

Fulmer is a true VFL; however, at his last Bama game in K'ville when I looked around the stadium and over 1/3 of our stadium was filled with Crimson I wanted to throw up.
He needed to go and the rest is history.

I'm pretty sure I've read this somewhere before. Cool story though.

Long night last? Just getting over your hangover?

Looking back, maybe you shouldn't have had that last Irish Car Bomb.
