yep... i found out the hard way, but I was so in luv with these crazy people during Jason's recruitment this time last year.... it was like an addiction..... :):loco:

then all the nega crap about my Dooley started and he wasn't given the time to really show his works... and CBJ inherited his 2012 which are ALL beasts in their own right, so he'll get the credit for Dooley's work and y'all will continue to dis my Dooley, who is the SOLE reason University of Tennessee got my signature.

I haven't been here too long, but I agree. I'm a junior who only started posting this academic year and I was shocked at all of the negativity here: it's unlike anything anywhere on campus or in the media. Yes, it is important to allow dissenting opinions, but the level some take it here is ridiculous.

I think that a little strong armed enforcement towards some these posts/posters would do worlds of good for the community.

So mzterry when do we get the good story. I love good gossip before bed. Kinda like your reading us all a big bed time story lol. And I for the record am happy for AK. Even though it sucks I wish him the best of luck bc just like Von bell he made a business decision for his future. Not ours. Some of our fans need to realize this and be respectful bc after all there just kids. If they made a mistake hopefully they will learn from it. I for one am excited about this class and this coaching staff. Lets see what they can do and go from there. And in all honesty our future, meaning 14 and above depends on our team now. Not the great young men who chose to be a VFL today. Our team has to come together after all the turmoil and turnover of such horrible luck and show that they are talented. That they ARE Tennessee. That they want to be champions. To be a family of one. I'm ready for Apr 20th. Until then your story would be nice :).

Not only that, stuff goes beyond this board. Folks here have been warned but many pooh, pooh the idea. I haven't roamed other sites much but see snide and snickering posts referring to VN. Once in a blue moon I lurk a few non-SEC sites to see how a Tenn. player or a former coach is doing. Or look to see what fans of an upcoming team we're playing think about the game. I have infrequently come across disparaging comments about the negativism of VN posts. I believe a few times comments have surfaced on ESPN as well. But nitwits here don't think their constant negativity has any impact on players and parents.

The WWW makes an adage more true than it ever has been before: "What goes around, comes around." Some so-called fans and instant gratisfaction fans here just don't get it. Sadly, VN makes a nice online Jerry Springer show for the curious and dirt digging lurkers. Plus giving recruits we'd really like to have 2nd thoughts about coming to the UT. Who wants to play for a pack of zombie fans that turn on you if you such much as sneeze with an "a chew" as opposed to an "achoo"?

Perhaps you haven't heard. We have some of the worlds best talent evaluating sobs' in the world right here on VN. Just ask any of them. They're not afraid of giving you their opinion, what ever the cost.

i don't mind people giving there ideas on what somebody could do for the program or not,but there is such a thing as going to far,there is a lot of going to far on here,there is no reason for it, parents and hopefully future players do read this board,I would hope the people on here would make the effort,to make them feel wanted and welcomed to the mighty Vol Nation,instead of dropping to the level of other message boards and bash the hell out of somebody that wants to be a VFL

That and the fact that they actually talked about it on ESPN later in the afternoon of NSD. While they didn't mention a specific school, it sure sounded like they were talking about Tennessee to me.

There is a big difference between constructive criticism and spewing the garbage that gets spewed on here. If a person can't get their point across, (because thay do not have the mental capcity to do so) without spewing garbage about a young man who is interested in playing at UT, they shouldn't be posting, period. If they do post garbage...then they should be banned immediatly.

If people can't figure THAT out, they are part of the problem, not the solution.

Example: Saying you don't know if or feel a young man is fast enough or quick enough to play in our defense, is an opinion that can be discussed. To call the young man worthless and say he doesn't deserve to be on our team is spewing garbage.

It's called taking a minute to think about what you are going to type.

It's tough to buy into a new coach after you and your family built a relationship with the coach that was run out of town. I'm sure feelings are hurt. It's human nature. I'd be pissed. But my dad would've told me to be open minded and you never know when an obstacle can be a new opportunity. I hope the transition is going well. Your son went through about 3 years of college football emotions in that one rough last year and has full eligibility. I get the feeling the next couple of rides are going to be more enjoyable for everybody.
