These guys knew our OC search in football months ahead of the hire, and down to the most minute details. When they say they have an unnamed source, they are protecting the integrity and privacy of the informant. They do it for the love of accuracy and truth too. It's a beautiful thing really.

You axed a question. It’s been Connecticut and the occasional other program for quite a while. Win enough to get to the Final Four and qualify to be “occasional” is a pretty lofty achievement...furthest thing from meh.

Best case scenario; Holly decides for the good of her team to retire early. That said, most likely she will be back next year because we are not paying a buyout for a women’s basketball coach.

Giving Holly an extension has been Fulmer’s biggest misstep as AD.

Probably because unlike the football team, the Lady Vols are still considered an elite program. And, other than perhaps UCONN, we are the best program in Women's CBB history.

Pat never had experienced, and never had high profile recruits. Anyone with Basketball Intelligent will be better than holly.

On the other hand, that extension allowed her to recruit, so that now, whoever comes in next will not find the cupboard bare (unless there's a mass exodus from the roster).

Seems like a point Phil would have picked up from his unique perspective of the UT football program.
