TD Cats!

wide open

40-34. :28 left

Has anybody seen a replay where you can tell what went on in the Cards' secondary? How is it possible to completely forget to cover a receiver in this situation?

Hats off to the much maligned (by me) Cats. There defense played better than I expected; I really thought UofL might score every time they touched the ball.

From what I have heard, the coaches noticed the louisville d backs biting on pump fakes earlier in the game.

they did the same thing but worse last week at MTSU. They forgot to even line up a CB across from the WR. MTSU got a huge gain, as expected.

now that's some good coaching

Krapthorpe said:

"I told our team and our staff before the game that Woodson is going to complete some passes, but if we don't get it thrown over our heads, we'll be in good shape. And that's what happened — we got it thrown over our heads."

Kragthorpe said it was the same play Woodson and Johnson combined on at the end of the first half when Johnson dropped the long pass at the UofL goal line.

"Same play, different coverage," Kragthorpe said. "We were in zone coverage and we didn't get enough width in our safety position."

But the truth is that the safety decided to cover the TE rather than the WR and paid dearly.
