Lowly Florida

Yes we will, and Alabama too.
Well, then I’m behind because last I heard FLA was coming off the schedule as an annual opponent. I knew we were keeping Alabama. Wonder what a nine game SEC schedule looks like if they end up adopting that format.

They have not released anything yet about what it will look like after 2024, but you can bet we will not be done any favors.

At the end of the day Florida is 5-6. They had a more competent passer than us this year in Graham Mertz yet are fighting for bowl eligibility.

They lose their #1 receiver in Pearsall as well. They may have some young talent coming in, but I would wait to assess who they hold on too. Afterall their ckass is rated high becuase it is top heavy with two or three players but then littered with alot of 3 stars.

Looking for Danny Boy to abandon ship in the offseason. A new AD will make it a lot easier to get rid of Heupel, if he underperforms again next season and I will get my shiny new coaching search.
White isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Please just stop with the nonsense. GBO

Problem is, there are only maybe three programs in the country that can recruit at a super-high level every year and thus have a very good chance
of having the talent "pieces in place" every year. We're not going to have the pieces in place every year--unless Heup proves a wizard at recruiting the portal, and he hasn't shown that quality, overall, yet--though Hooker did come from the portal. So then the challenge becomes, how good can you be when you don't have the great talent in place--can you win games that maybe you wouldn't be expected to win. That's what separates the great coaches from the mere good or decent coaches--and that's how you can build real momentum in a program. But it's doubly hard for us--harder than it is for any other upper-second tier program in a strong conference--because we're playing florida, alabama and georgia every year. Nobody has to face a gauntlet like that--not to mention all the other SEC teams we play every year. So it's not going to be easy--and working the portal to fill talent holes is really something Heup has to be good at, along with everything else.
We may only play 3 top twenty teams next year (Ga, Al, Okla). Compare that to S Car who is playing (Clem, Al, Okla, LSU, Ole Miss, Mizz, and Tx A&M). They will be lucky to get 6 wins!

Danny boy isn’t going anywhere. He just got a nice, new contract extension this year. I think we’re going to be fine. It took Johnny Majors a good while to right the ship. We should exercise a little more patience. Hype showed us last year what he can do with all the right pieces in place. We lost a lot of those pieces at the end of last season.

The delusion among these Negas is astounding.

We have all been though this song and dance routune before when our former coaches started losing like he is now doing. Like Thanos, The next coaching search is inevitable, So grow up and just be ready for it to happen.
Look who's telling folks to grow up! After reading your posts on this thread, your slip is showing.

No, Tennessee will not. While I take exception with some things with Heupel, he should and will get at least five years. We lost a ton of talent off last years team, not easily replaceable from where Hype started. Had a nice recruiting class last year and this one looks good as well. Gotta give the man some time and Danny White knows this.
Unfortunately the talent we lost were ole cornbread’s boys

I’m not happy with the Florida loss, but I kinda place it in a different category mostly because of Mays and Mincey not playing. Because of that, they still were trying to be last years team instead of a ground attack team they became once the o-line stabilized. Who knows if that would’ve changed anything though.

That at least, is the silver lining, we will go from the absolute worst scheduling in the country (with maybe the exception of Auburn).. for the past thirty years at least.. to a much more leveled out scheduling for everyone where we ‘share the wealth’.. some folks are going to have rougher schedules that what they are used to, and I’m gonna laugh 😂

Some of this fan base has to be posting drunk. CJH is not going anywhere anytime soon. SMH Sure Joe is not great, heck at his best he can be good, but Nico was not ready. He needs to get stronger and use this year to learn. We need some help from the transfer portal next season but we will be better. I am worried about the lack of adjustments made on Defense. CJH needs to really look at the staff on the Defensive side of the ball.

We started the year beat up then got healthy for a few games and then we had guys dropping game to game missing 2 starting wide outs both safeties a linebacker and linemen and corner backs.
