Angel getting into Caitlin Clark's face, showing finger where a ring will be (not the "bad finger") and when Miss Clark turned away she kept coming around to her face 2-3 times.

The team not getting in the postgame line to shake hands, one girl using the f-word with a mic in her face, others impeding Iowa's walk to to locker room.

Normal for a Mulkey team.

I have no issue with what Reese did at the free throw line. Clark has been doing that “do you see me” thing to opponents all tournament. Trash talk is a normal part of sports, at all levels. However, chasing her around the court for the final 10 seconds was rather ridiculous.

Do you see me by scoring 40 a game and setting the record? Ok 🤣

Was a reason given why the team wasn't out for the national anthem?

"...she was just waiting for the moment to call out the "you can’t see me" taunt. I don't fit the narrative. I don't fit in a box that y'all want me to be in. I'm too hood. I'm too ghetto. "

Does she believe that is a good thing?

You might want to include and perhaps read the entire article. Not sure if you’re purposefully or accidentally not including a lot of context there

Yep, read the entire Yahoo article. I didn't opine, merely quoted. Here's my opinion. I thought the article was actually being kind to the LSU player, but they didn't have much content to work with.

Short version is Angel Reese was criticized for doing something Caitlin Clark also did, but wasn’t criticized for.

The part of Reese’s quote mentioning “other players” (obviously Clark) was conspicuously missing from @MHS Rebel ’s post.

Context matters.

It’s kinda gross when a resident Gator has to clean up y’all’s posts. But it has became the norm. Here’s the full quote:

"All year, I was critiqued about who I was," Reese said. "The narrative — I don’t fit the narrative. I don't fit into the box that y’all want me to be in. 'I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto.' Y’all told me that all year.
"But when other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing. So this is for the girls that look like me, that’s gonna speak on for what they believe in. It’s unapologetically you. And that’s what I did it for tonight.

Notice, she’s saying she’s been called that all year by the media. For doing the same things Clark has been doing. I have zero problem with the swagger and trash talk from any player. I do have a problem with Rebel omitting the full quote so it shows that Reese was saying the media called her those things.

So you want to include the full quote? Or you just going to pretend you aren’t the person she’s literally describing in the actual quote?
Here's the entire quote from the Yahoo article:

"All year, I was critiqued about who I was," Reese said. "The narrative — I don’t fit the narrative. I don't fit into the box that y’all want me to be in. 'I’m too hood. I’m too ghetto.' Y’all told me that all year.

"This was bigger than me tonight. Twitter is gonna go on a rage every time. And I’m happy. I feel like I've helped grow women's basketball this year."

People got two choices in this world and that includes Reese and Clark. You can be classy or you can be trashy. Take your pick. Problem is we got too many supposed “adults” who act like absolute fools and don’t show them the way. (And that includes folks high in government. You know who they are.) If you are raised/led/coached that way, you act that way. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Yep the Women are making it very difficult to follow them anymore. Observe what the Memphis State Girls did in the NIT. We are witnessing the emergence of a classless society. People not raised right to show respect and not disrespect the Sport, their school and teammates with uggish behavior. Thank goodness The Lady Vols are an Exception.

Were there really articles or statements by reporters calling her “too ghetto” or a “thug?” If so, that’s the issue.

I haven’t been paying enough attention to know if Clark was doing that stuff too. To be honest, I don’t care either way. We’ve strayed so far from any pretense of character and sportsmanship as a whole that it’s actually become fairly silly to even bring those things up in a serious way. The college game (and pros) have become an entertainment industry closer to the WWE. Even in youth sports, these kinds of buffoonish antics are largely the norm. I’ve seen it while watching my son play at a highly competitive level in travel baseball here in Texas. It’s crazy.

The best is when one of these idiot SEC fanbases calls out another for being classless or for having a classless program. Like these other dumba$$ schools don’t have literally thousands of examples of their teams and fans being complete D-bags. This is part of the reason I go scorched death on all the other SEC teams. Rooting for those other teams just because they have an SEC patch on their jerseys is just dumb.

There have always been trash-talkers, etc. but we, as a society, have collectively decided that childish crap is ok - or even preferred from an entertainment perspective. It sells tickets and gets the ratings, so it’s hard to argue, I suppose. Just the way things are nowadays. I can’t say that I’m overly thrilled about any of it, but my love for competition and the Volunteers keeps me watching despite it all.

You hit a three on her during the game, you do the you can’t see me, cool. Final minute, you go to your crowd do the ring finger celebration, cool. No problem.

I didn’t watch the game. I can’t vouch for if Clark did anything or what not. But following her around when Clark is clearly ignoring you, to just try and draw a reaction and make it all about you, calling her a hoe, in the final minute up 17, is silly.

Edit: this does not make Reese a “thug” or a “bitch” or whatever other ridiculous language you want to use. It’s was a dick move. That’s all.

Each time I saw LSU play, the media gushed and promoted her as the “Bayou Barbie”. Conversely, Reese is falsely spinning herself as Marie Laveau.
