LSU QB transfer?

He couldn't start at LSU so we should bring him here and play him and waste one of Ferguson's years? No.

I also hate his brother.

"The rising junior was slated to compete for the starting quarterback spot this spring, but he appears to be the odd man out of a five-man competition that will reportedly place a heavy focus on mobility and the read option. The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Rivers is a traditional drop-back passer."

I'll pass on him. He just doesn't fit our type of offense at all.

This obsession with Ferguson is out of hand.

But, to that point, our QB is an underclassman, so taking a transfer makes no sense.

Completely agreed. He's the last man standing, though. It's classic VN backup QB savioritis. He's the only one we haven't seen, so naturally he's The Future.

Went over my head.

Well, if you took your head out of your avatar's brassiere, your head would be higher and harder to go over. :)

Oh, the LSU QB transfer. Forget it, he'd only introduce problems. It would clearly be four negatives, mainly. One, Butch has no faith in any or our QBs. Two, this undermines all the QBs morale. Three, we'd surely see some resentment and requests for release by maybe 2 or more QBs. Four, it throws away the knowledge that current QBs have about the CBJ system and wasting time teaching a "newbie" which takes away furthering the current corp's progression.

Last year, it would have been a nice thing, this year, no.

Sounds like a spoiled little brat that needs some attention which is the last thing we need. Besides he is a backup there. Why bring him in and destroy the chemistry that is building with our quarterbacks. It would be like telling our guys that they are no better than another teams bench warmer! "Brick by Brick"! With our bricks we will build a mansion and it will tower over all other mansions!

Old saying.........

You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

Think that saying applies here. Move on.....

That avi has a brassiere? All I observed were two thin decorative bands pushed up against her impressive virtues :wink2:...Guess I could study it again...for accuracy's sake :boobies:

I was in jail up North and missed all our games. From the results of them, I encourage us to pursue all avenues to not suck. Go Vols!

Took Rick, didn't get Jimmy (as mentioned earlier). Had CJ, didn't get Chris. Had Peyton, didn't get Eli....

I understand the thought but 1) people are right about the chaos it would cause in team chemistry; 2) may not have a scholarship anyway; 3) brothers following brothers, when both play the same position, is more rare than it would seem to some - not sure it helps the chances.

Plus his brother is from this area and he's the biggest d-bag in the NFL. Seen it firsthand. The scale of his d-baggery is too big for one human being, so the excess must be applied to his immediate family.

Besides, in the picture with that article he looks like the lovechild of Phillip Rivers and Urban Meyer. He would have to agree to wear a helmet at all times.
