LSU vs Auburn

You can do this, keep job, or you can’t, and you lose job? Sure sounds like a choice and not being forced against will
How do you know the kid didn’t really need his job and felt pressured to go up there? Ain’t much choice when the head coach insinuates you lose your job if you don’t. Maybe if Kelly wasn’t such a Richard, he could have shown a modicum of concern for an employee and told him not to go up. Just a thought.

So he abused his power and didn’t actually use force to get the student in the lift? Got it.

Also, where have I said one time that Kelly is completely innocent from criticism in this ordeal? Please show me.

Woof.... that's a hard argument to make, my dude....

Kelly abused his power.... period. And needs to be reminded of it every. single. day.

I'm frankly ashamed that an SEC school hired the guy (but it is LSU)

He forced his decision or the kid loses things by not choosing Kelly’s choice. There are many ways to force people to do things and not be physical.

You defend him like he’s a saint.

Poking holes in your argument that he forced someone to do something against their will and removed all freedom of choice is somehow “defending him like a saint”……

Force includes saying you lose your job if you don’t do this. You have said several times he didn’t use a gun. Force doesn’t require a gun. It doesn’t have to be physical force. I’m shocked anyone would defend Kelly’s actions.

I agree. I’ve never said Kelly is without criticism in this whole thing. You can have a dick of a boss who tells you to do things you aren’t comfortable with. However, you still have choice to do said things or don’t. This student was a college student working a $7.80 per hour job. It’s not like he was a thirty year old in a career profession where having a job was a matter of life and death. At the end of the day, Kelly was a dick for telling him to go up, but the idea he removed the student’s consent or freedom of choice to comply like many on here have done, is just ludicrous. It’s almost like people are incapable of looking at things unbiasedly. Anywho. Let’s see what the second half brings us.

Okay. So I’m glad you have atleast stated a more reasonable and factual argument. Abusing power is very much different than forcing someone against their will into doing something. You are one of the few saying the former and not the latter. Maybe you’re willing to remove sports fandom bias from it and look at things as they are. You’re one of the few tonight.

You still don't grasp the idea of "force"....

No, Kelly didn't "put a gun to the kid's head" but.... and here's the surprise... Kelly had the power to RUIN HIS LIFE.

Apparently, that's OK since he (Kelly) didn't kill him...

<anyone else want to complete this... if feels like shooting fish in a barrel now>

I grasp “force” just fine. Forcing someone to do something against their will/consent means they have zero say in the matter. That was not the case in the accident. It’s almost like some don’t realize what “force” means…..

Force
Power, violence, compulsion, or constraint exerted upon or against a person or thing. Power dynamically considered, that is,in motion or in action; constraining power, compulsion; strength directed to an end.

So did Brian Kelly exert power over the student? You already said he did. Therefore he did in fact legally force the student on that lift.
