Lunardi just said after the game

Well, you know what they say about opinions- everybody has one and everybody has that other thing, too.
He makes entirely too much money to spout his, but fortunately, the committee can see for themselves.
Frankly, the way the Vols are playing, I think the difference in seeding would be minimal and they’ll play hard either way

He hates UT and it's obvious. His horrible explanation was that UT should not get a 2 seed because Auburn and Kentucky were in the pecking order ahead of them. Well no **** and Tennessee beat them which actually helps UTs cause. What an idiot.
Lunardi is clueless. He thinks he is the Mel Kiper of college basketball.

Fortunately, Joe Lunardi does't seed the teams in the NCAA Tourney. Last time I checked it is the Selection Committee! I'll wait until the seeds are announced to be happy of have a fit!

Wonder how bad he would have to do for ESPN to can him

I mean I get not being perfect but I guarantee you there are 50 better bracketologists out there than Lunardi who would be willing to work for his pay or probably less

So let me get this straight.

Per Lumpardi:

Tennessee’s head-to-heads with Auburn and Kentucky DO NOT matter…..

…however….

Tennessee’s head-to-heads with Texas Tech and Villanova DO.

Got it. Nothing to see here.

Not to mention he made a point to say we only tied for 2nd place in the SEC regular season yet the outright SEC tourney title means nothing because it is apparently too late for the committee to consider that.

What a 🤡

If we bump to a 2 im gonna go ahead and call it. The 10-7 matchup will be deadly for us. 10 Memphis because our game was canceled with them. And 7 someone like Virginia Tech, Davidson, or Loyola Chicago

Memphis:
Net-31
Q1 wins-5
SOS-66
SOR-39
KenPom-26

That’s the resume of a tournament team.

Yeah; I wish they were headed to the NIT, but Memphis' win against UCF made them a for-sure tournament team and beating SMU last night probably gets them the last 9 or the first 10.

that Tennessee is still a 3 seed. Also said that they have been behind in the pecking order all year to Auburn and Kentucky and Tennessee’s head to head wins against them “really doesn’t matter”. Just blows my mind the disrespect UT is getting.
Nevermind that TN’s resume is now better in every way than any other team in the SEC
He obviously is biased and his explanation was totally screwball. In the end, he’s just not a very bright guy as evidenced by his ludicrous comments concerning Tennessee and the SEC seeds. Also, his projections have no bearing on the committee’s seedings. He’s truly a bag of wind with lots of hot air.

He's saying crap like that to get a rise out of people.

Tennessee has the best overall record of any team in SEC games, counting the tournament, and is 1-0 vs. Auburn and 2-1 vs. Kentucky, including the rubber match on a neutral court.

The pecking order has therefore changed in the past few weeks.
