We all know why they were always going to make UK and Duke 2-seeds and it's because they're blue bloods.

I really wish when he said us going 3-1 against AU and UK "didn't matter" that one of the ESPN guys would have asked "then why bother playing the games?"

This is indefensible. Listen to the drivel Lunardi just spat out trying to justify us not being ahead of Duke. “They’re not gonna be ahead of DUKE.”

Basically saying “it’s Duke and it’s Coach K’s last season, what do you expect?”

Even without the tournament there's really no reasoning for not putting us as a 2-seed over Duke, or giving Kentucky a 2-seed on our behalf.

It's a win win. Committee gets free feedback and attention from all the mock brackets he posts and he gets content.

Gary Parrish has insinuated as much on his radio show in Memphis.

Once I heard that today from Lunardi, I knew we were a 3.

So at least he admitted there’s no rational explanation for our seeding.

Now will he also admit the Committee pitted us against another feel good story God Squad on a double-digit win streak so they can self-fulfill the “Regular Season Rick” prophesy?

I mean, I love the Lord, and I’m happy to buy Sister Jean and Griff Aldrich a free lunch, but COME ON!

I think we are giving that POS way too much credit. I believe he has no say in the seeds. I believe he has connections on the committee who feed him information and he just parrots to ESPN what they tell him. I believe 90% of the seeding was done before the weekend. How else would he know that TN wasn’t moving off the 3 line but didn’t have a coherent explanation why? It’s because he was merely repeating what he was told that the deal was done. I lay the blame directly at the feet of the committee and not their lackey.
