I'm sure this has been posted, but I think it's thread-worthy. I'm as disappointed as anyone and I'm not sure this team can finish strong enough to make the dance, but as of this moment, Lunardi still has us in.

There is still hope and I'll be fighting with this team until the end, regardless of the poorly-coached head-scratching collapse I witnessed earlier.

Bubble update. FOUR IN: Mizzou, WVU, Tenn, Richmond. FOUR OUT: StJoe, StJohn, SoMiss, BYU. Spiders hanging w/o 2 starters. USM no longer AQ.

We gonna make it. It wouldn't be Tennessee without a lil drama.

With a 1-3-1 zone that shutdown Alabama for 17 minutes and Florida not scoring against it for 8 possessions, a full seven minutes, it miraculously doesn't appear against Missouri even when the tv announcers are screaming use it.
now is the time! Man-to-man guru Martin refuses to go zone even thought all the great ones do! Tell you anything? Can't believe hardly anybody comments on this! It is the difference between our team being 15-10 and 20-5.

Still plenty of games to lose this season.

Agreed - this. Hope springs eternal, but reality stinks if you are a Vol basketball fan.

I am serious - which idiot high major coach does not know to use a 2014 NBA draft choice that double/doubles every game?

We did go 1-3-1 against Missouri, it quickly resulted in an oop.

Last in? First out? Zone defense? What does it matter? Without a coach, nothing good will happen and UT does not have a coach. If Hart is not on the phone putting a plan in place, he is incompetent, too.

In Cuonzo's defense.......nah forget it. :)

Stokes going most of the second half without a touch was absurd.

This team looks nearly unstoppable when they have a huge talent gap on the opposition.

Beyond that, they suck. And it is all coaching or lack thereof.

Tennessee must win out to get in which is very unlikely considering they have three road games left.

It's very close, going 5-1 could keep them out, 4-2 and it's the NIT. A winning record in a weak league is a huge factor to the selection committee.

They must beat Mizzou in the rematch - that is key to getting in. You lose that game at home and it's over.

You realize 4-2 would still be a winning record, right?

And no, it's not very close. 5-1 and they'd almost definitely be in. It would take an opening loss to a horrible RPI Sect to knock them out.

No they don't

I think we do in the regular season. There are no "acceptable" losses on our schedule. It's not just that we would finish 5-1. It's that the 1 loss, whoever it would be to, would be a bad loss. It's a double whammy.

Besides, we're sitting here talking about a 6-6 team possibly going 5-1 or 6-0 the rest of the way.
