LV 2019 Recruiting Thread

Jackson is the highest rated player on our list. A 6’2” wing would fit in nicely!!! You are right about the visit on 12-10 the night most recruits visited and we beat Texas to boot... She is from Detroit so ????

I know we need bigs and because of the commitments of the Hayes sisters... Our number of scholarship the next two years are limited... I think she is too good to pass on! Even if we miss on the bigs. JMO
I know the Hayes father said he wanted his three girls going to same school...but when did we get commits from either of the two in high school?

Not from them......... UT has offered all four sisters!
And just so we don’t think Holly is too crazy. I believe Texas A&M and Ole Miss. offered all four also. That being said: the sisters will choose their own path!

So did Florida (before Amanda Butler was fired) and Kentucky.

That’s THREE other SEC schools that thought the girls would be a good get !!!!

I also like the situation with Tamari Keys 6’5” P out of NC. 2019. She also has a little sister 6’2” playing GUARD and coming out in 2021 Just Saying !!! 🤔

I thought the others said they would follow the 1st one?

The Hayes sisters have said they want to play together for the same school, and the family chose UT with that in mind. But a lot can change over the next four years. Sometimes interest wanes on one or both sides, and legacies don't always follow their siblings. Look at Dorie Harrison.

I had heard that our staff backed off on Dorie. Not close enough to know this for sure though.:)

Brown lives in Massachusetts and just a few miles from Uconn. A definite lean in that direction! However, with Ono next year and IF the Aussie is coming???? You would have to rethink her potential playing time??? Just my opinion

Brown (Kennedy) is actually a post prospect in Kansas. (Not so close to Storrs...)

Boston is in Massachusetts. (The city and the post prospect. They are close to Storrs.)

What is the latest on Laeticia Amihere, the (formerly?) mind-blowing prospect from Canada? Wasn't she linked to Connecticut, too?

Correct I said Brown (my bad) when I said she was the post I would love to get! Boston is the one that had TN in her top choices at one point but has seemingly backed off :-/

Laeticia had in home visits by Kentucky, Louisville, and South Carolina . Per Raoul

Dorie, who missed nearly all of last season with an injury, chose Kentucky over a handful of scholarship offers, including Ole Miss, Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

"I wanted to go on my own path," she said. "I definitely have respect for Holly (Warlick) and the Tennessee staff — they treated my sister so well — but I felt this was the right decision for me."

Hillsboro's Dorie Harrison carries on family's college sports tradition

Maybe she just did not want to follow sisters!

Is that the only two schools she is looking to attend ? I know Boston has been looking at UCONN and TN WAS (def past tense) in her top but I wonder if they do get this young lady does this put her back on our radar as now ONO and the young lady from Australia would be there ?

I do like Kennedy brown though! Something about her I really like just her edge and her demeanor! She will have to put on some muscle but she is a legit 6’6” and keeps the ball above her head as well!

To me that is our X-Factor in the 2019 class. It's something about brown that I really like as well! Adding Brown (and yes she's a legit 6'6") and Key on the same team in the same class would be great. I also like 6'5" Emily Saunders as well if we don't land either of the 2.

Brown can shoot the 3 also! I just hope we can get some early verbals and not have to wait until the last minute like we have been lately

I don't see them going to Ole Miss now, I could see them possibly looking at Middle Tennessee though because the father is still there, they really liked Ole Miss from the looks of the pictures and I don't think A&M would be in play either just my opinion. I'm sure they will decide where they want to go though

Every body is linked to them

Hey Mlindsay: i found some video 2016-2017 on 6-5 Tamari Key, My brother lives in Charlotte NC and he went to watch her play and thinks she will be a instant-impact player Tamari Key - Hudl

I've seen her play in person as well and she will definitely be an impact player! I would love to have her!

I was hoping so much that she wouldnt choose UConn. For 2018 - they have
- Christyn Williams (#1 recruit by every source)
- Olivia Nelson-Ododa (#5 recruit by HG)
- Ezi Magbegor (#1 international recruit - heard she may be better than Williams & could end up being legendary)

All 3 of these ladies may end up be LEGENDARY! Thats how talented they are.

How do we compete?!?!

I don't put much stock in a girl from Australia playing 4 years of U.S. college ball. The home sickness, Geno sickness, and international money is just too much. If she is all they are saying, she probably will play one year and bolt. Not to mention olympics in 2020
