head scratcher and not sure why she was taken early. I wouldn’t mind her being a #2 in a class with Riley from Jeff County who’s doing good things at Ole Miss.

Even though karen says she recruits TN kids first its hard to see for me. Goes out to Washington state and offers Simpson and one of the better pitchers in Jeff county and lets her go to of all places Oxford. Thats not a head scratcher it is just plain dumb. They take pitchers from all over the place that never pan out then disregard in state kids. LOL

It seemed at the time Marty was the only one out recruiting much. He found her and they went with it. If Washington wasn’t recruiting her that says a lot.

Agree, I saw Marty a lot that summer, Colorado, CA, Atlanta all in a span of a month. But agree on Washington. To be fair, saw Megan a lot too but she was with Lipscomb at the time.

you’ll see more local influence because of Megan and the backlash they got from a few programs. With more programs from the region in the Top 30 they’ll be more open but won’t neglect the CA DNA Karen feels she needs.

They talked on air a few games ago about a few small changes that our new hitting coach has been working on with her. I don't recall what the changes were but I'm thinking that maybe she needs to go back to original swing.

Watching her this year she has the old Braves philosophy take all the good pitches then swing at the bad ones.
