I was not expecting that at all. This show has “hit” written all over it.

Not surprised by that after all the guy behind the show Producer Peter Lenkov is the guy that CBS tapped to reboot and bring back both Hawaii Five-0 (Renewed for a 9th Season) and MacGyver (Renewed for a 3rd season).

I'm going to withhold judgement at this point...... BUT..... no matter how hard they try.... it won't be as good as the original

I would settle for getting it right for this day and age. The original was my favorite show on T.V. for its entire run.

It had the Fletch vibe before Fletch. Much more serious of course...but very humorous. Magnum was lovably flawed but a badass. Great writing and production and acting. All that say I understand why it was your favorite.

Tom Sellecknis now trying to sell me a reverse mortgage

I don't know what they're paying the guy for those commercials but he's on his 9th season fronting Blue Bloods and has another Jesse Stone TV movie in the works so it's not like he's broke.

I mean next Monday......

Now its Tonight! ;)

Its been getting a lot of positive buzz from reviews. I still don't like that Justin Lin (Fast & Furious Franchise) is directing the "Pilot" it will be over the top with (unrealistic) action. The show will make it (or not) on the other episodes.

Magnum never jumped off a Ferrari over a truck and grabbed onto a helicopter with his finger tips.

I will watch this but I am afraid it’s just gonna be a shallow re imagining.

That's what I'm saying that's the Justin Lin influence on the "Pilot" it will be the following episodes of the season that you will get a feel to the series.

The lead character has no charm and the main cast doesn't seem to have chemistry. It's a pilot though and they are always different from the rest of the season.

I watched. Seen just enough to keep watching. It has Possibilities. Looking forward to see how it all comes together....

Already a shared universe with H5-0. Same medical examiner and reference to the 5-0 unit. Cross over eminent.

I like the idea of 5-0 issues but having to work with out all of the resources.

It was better than I thought it would be.
Action needs to slow down and drama and plot need to get a little stronger.
It should have been a two hour pilot with the character development and friendship more fleshed out.
It has potential.

Just finished it as I didn't get to watch last night. Better than I expected, just as I was afraid of the Fast and the Furious over the top action was there luckily Justin Lin was only directing this episode.

Solid episode 2 it felt more like what a Magnum show should be. However I can't believe we are now two episodes in and yet no mention (I don't think) of Five-0 or McGarrett.

We did get a cameo from Kamekona and Steve & Danny's restaurant.
