This show is missing the mark. I don't know if it's the writing, or the lead actor or perhaps both. Jay Hernandez seems drab and there is nothing remarkable about him or the show. Truthfully this doesn't even meet the bar of a modern procedural drama. Put this show up against all 3 NCIS shows, Criminal Minds, Blue Bloods, Elementary, Hawaii Five-O and all of them are still better than this.

I think it’s pretty good. It reminds me of the show Burn Notice with Magnum influences.

Yeah, I think it has gotten better with every episode. However, we are all trying to judge a series on (4) episodes. Three if you don't count the "Pilot"

The show that we see now want be the show we will see on say episode (21) or if it makes it down the road in season 2 or 3.

I think you have to give a series at least half the season for the cast to get comfortable with each other before you know what it will or won't be.

All of those shows have been on for 5 seasons plus. In the case of a couple of them 10-12 plus.

All of those shows were great in their first seasons though.

I still think it’s a good show, but I get what you’re saying. They need to tone down the action in some parts so the end is more climatic. Hopefully they catch their groove and the show reaches its potential. I think the cast is great.

Very cool to see Roger E. Mosley on tonight's episode as a barbershop owner where TC, Rick and a Magnum get their haircuts.

Mosley of course played TC in the original Magnum P.I.

One episode is part of a two part storyline with the original NCIS. Can't remember if it's part 1 or 2.

Yeah, the news is surprising and good. Hawaii 5.0 was great and made it a full 10 seasons. Alex O'Loughlin said he had some nagging injuries from doing his own stunts throughout the show and he wasn't gonna be able to keep doing it.
