Major fail by Amazon

He's drinking, but here goes.

Boondoggle continues.

First shipment has finally tracked, one week after ordering. Will arrive at my house on Monday. That said, amazon has already refunded my money for this one.

Second order, the one they told me to place again, is also scheduled to deliver Monday. Problem is, will deliver to a house 50 miles from mine, a relatives house....visiting for holiday. I am actually so confident in Amazon's service I had it sent there believing it would deliver Friday.

So 2 coming, 1 to my house..not paid for.

1 to another house 50 miles away that is paid for.

Drink and be merry.

so glad to read the personal insults here. awesome.

not a fan of amazon, yes, one can find good deals from time to time. i try to find deals elsewhere, support local businesses if possible.

ive found if theres a good enough deal out there. usually someone can match it or come close.

Well? Did Amazon come through? Or are you not posting because you're too busy having to vacuum the old school way AV? We need to know these things!

I bought everything online. Not going to the stores for Christmas.

Just because you order online doesn't mean that you shouldn't expect headaches and/or delays, especially on the Saturday before Christmas.

Considering Fed Ex and UPS where having major issues of their own over the holidays, and places like Amazon and other retailers that have major online sales operations usually work through those two companies for actual delivery, you'd have likely seen a delay even if it was picked and left the Amazon DC within a couple of hours of actually being ordered.

Bottom line: Unless it's a rare item or something that literally just became available in December, it's probably a good idea to do what shopping you can weeks or months ahead of time. I've found by doing that, once the actual holidays get here, it makes things much less stressful, and gives me more free time to relax or focus on somethings that can't be done ahead of time(preparing Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner).
