IIRC WG's 40 time was 4.18 seconds. Gault was on a world record 4x100 shuttle relay team (I think that was the correct term). Mike Miller and Darryal Wilson (2 other TN WRs) were also members of that RT. Anthony Hancock was another sprinter/WR a class or 2 ahead of Gault. Seems like he was not the 4th on that world record setting group... it escapes me who the 4th was.

The 4x100 shuttle relay was run on the 100 meter section of the track with 2 runners each heading in opposite directions, not the traditional 4x100 that was a single lap around the track with the baton being handed off runner to runner.

In that same decade you had Graddy and A. Miller. Graddy may not have played football long if at all in college. I think he was KR for the Raiders for a while.

Willie Gault was so fast back in the day he had his own moniker that all DBs couldn;t forget when he lined up against them " if he's even.... he's leaving"

If I remember correctly wasn’t Flowers suppose to be a pretty high baseball recruit? I know injury’s have hampered him so far in his career tho. Seen Keon projected top 5 pick in 2021 draft and Springer around 20. The one who surprised me was Pons in 2nd round.

Well, Rick was interviewed recently and an interviewer brought up Wideman and Beckwith. Barnes said that they both came to talk with Rick and his guys on their visits here. He said obviously their first priority will be football, but that's it's up to them if they want to play. Hopefully they both will.
