Malaysia Boeing 777

I'd rather be a stupid head.. :)

I think that depends. I mean, if someone broke into your house and you had a gun pointed at them until the police arrived, it would be mildly amusing to hold your Bible up and say "now let's talk about Jesus and saving your soul young man."

This is of course assuming you wouldn't be reloading by the time the cops got there.

Yeah I am sure the people of NO and Louisanna would have been in arms if someone had taken action and sent them water/food and helped evac those who couldn't leave. I would love to see someone go after someone else for saving a lot of lives, and eased suffering. If the laws are holding back the POTUS from saving/helping americans the laws need to be changed and the POTUS shouldn't stop for such laws. I hate our government and many of the laws and especially hate the two party system, but I love our country. And with that I think we should stay the heck out of the Ukraine situation.

So you would like the federal government to be able to declare an emergency and move troops in whenever they wanted? Pretty sure that caused a revolt back in 1776.

Don't forget the recorded telephone conversation between Victoria Nuland and the ambassador to Ukraine where the overthrow of the government was planned. It may be Europe's problem to deal with now... but we started this cluster.

Apparently, you and I are the only ones on VN that realize we stirred all of this up.

Key word being "right now."
all that matters... not a promise of what you may be able to deliver in the future.

Natural gas that is shipped to Europed will cost more than gas piped in from Russia.

Also, how long do you intend for Europe to infrastructure and legislation to pass before they can get their gas. Winter is fast approaching. And, based on that data I provided, we would need to nearly double what we are exporting right now to still meet the demands of both the US and the EU.

What kind of time line do you really think you would have if you shut off Russian gas in sanctions right now?

Uhh ohh.., Now it is Putin's word against Obama's word. Which one do you believe?

Hahaha - a supreme conundrum. I saw this coming a mile away.

Somewhat related, was the Kremlin ever in possession of those black boxes and for how long?

What are you expecting the administration to do instead?

Bush should have activated FEMA, when the mayor/governor isn't there, don't worry mad at them too, the President is the only one who can activate FEMA and/or national guard, it took way too long to get even basic provisions moving. My mother's cousin was a police chief back then and was trying to get something moving, eventually he made contact with the POTUS office then was told the president couldn't be reached.....now back to the topic.

So much wrong with this. And the prez doesn't run the guard for each state. The governor does.

Bath house Barry didn't activate Texas Guard. Gov. Rick Perry did so, because he's authorized without approval of the POTUS.

Still think this is a fascinating dilemma. Who do you believe here?

Do you believe a president who has shown a pattern of lying and using the government as a weapon to punish and silence his enemies?

Or do you believe a president who has shown a pattern of lying and using the government as a weapon to punish and silence his enemies?

I'll go with the latter for 500 bob.

Apparently it's easier to believe all this chaos in the world right now is purely coincidence, and not a result of amateur US foreign policy.

I wish I could believe this is all happening because of decisions made by an incompetent President, but here are my thoughts:

These conflicts are happening in strategic locations on the global chessboard. The world runs on energy and all of these countries either produce oil, have pipelines, or have proposed pipelines.

In order to believe the Obama administration has totally screwed up foreign policy, one must discount the fact that the overwhelming majority of presidential appointees in the highest positions of foreign policy over the past thirty years have essentially come from members of the same two non-governmental organizations that both have the same objectives, the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Here’s a shortened list of members of these two NGOs that you may recognize: Carter, Mondale, Kissinger, McNamara, Bush SR., Clinton, Gore, Cheney, Warren Christopher, GEN Powell, Rumsfeld, Albright, Scowcroft, GEN Gates, GEN Jones, and Susan Rice.

Since the Carter administration, Trilateralists have held the following very influential positions: Six of the last eight World Bank Presidents; over half of all US Secretaries of State; three quarters of the Secretaries of Defense; and numerous executives in media, business, and industry.

During most of its existence, the Central Intelligence Agency has been headed by CFR members, beginning with CFR founding member Allen Dulles. Virtually every key U.S. national security and foreign policy adviser has been a CFR member for the past seventy years.

Note: I'm only bringing up the CFR and TLC as proof of continuity of foreign policy. I don't want to get labelled as a NWO globalist conspiracy nut.
