Something that has been lacking in Washington for a long time and actually non-existent since 2016, accountability.
If anyone has an issue with what Waters, Omar or anyone else has dome then contact your representative and complain. I personally like that this woman is in Washington, she's a cancer to the GOP and they'll have to worry about her and what she's saying. She thinks she's Trump but most likely she's a 1 term Rep...well maybe she is TrumpThe fact this is a story is why Dems win. They are never forced to answer for themselves. Instead it’s always Republicans on the defensive. When were the conferences to vote Maxine Waters out of the house? Omar off her committees? It’s why the left LOVES identity politics. It’s an easy game to constantly accuse your opponents of being racist so they spend all their time and energy just having to defend themselves. And they can conveniently deflect from having to talk about the real issues
too late.Well, we all know both parties are vindictive at every opportunity, so this is no news. I agree that the democrats need to be careful not to channel McCarthyism... but if there are singular instances of a fringe crazy person across the aisle (as there is in this case) then they should be checked. Republicans gave her the appointment strictly to get a reaction out of democrats so they could play the victim card without any real consequences... and round and round they go.
Nicole Malliotakis Adds an Asterisk on Her Vote to Remove Greene from Committees
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) was one of just 11 Republicans to vote in favor of the successful resolution to remove the controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylore Greene (R-GA) from her assigned committees, including the House Education and Labor Committee, and the House Budget Committee. The final tally was 230-199.
But while Malliotakis was on board with this ousting, she added an asterisk to her vote. Now that they've done right on their side of the aisle, according to the congresswoman, she argues that it's time for the Democrats to do the same and vote out a couple of their own controversial characters from their respective committees. Namely, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) for his ties to a suspected Chinese spy, and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who's been known to make anti-Semitic comments.

Fine by me. I don't see where committee assignments are guaranteed in the constitution. They can still vote. Can still present bills to be considered.
Stupid move on her part. She should have voted not to remove Greene unless dims removed their riff raff, too. This is what the GOP doesn't understand and Trump did; you have to get in the hog pen with dims, get dirty in the mud with them, and beat them at their own game. Otherwise you are wasting your time and just annoying the pigs (dims).
No, you are advocating complete mob rule in the house. If the majority of house members do not like one of the representatives they ban them from committees. This vote has no basis in anything other than pettiness. She is a member in good standing that has committed no crimes or ethics violations yet she and her constituents are being punished.
I hope the first thing they do is impeach Biden for soiling his pants on government property, that has to be against the law doesn't it?When the house flips in a couple of years, the republicans will need to remind dims about their pettiness - stripping membership and trying to oust elected members. They won't and the dims know it - that's the problem with the GOP - no balls.
Like Mitch or hate Mitch, he is the master of taking new precedent and shoving it right up the Dems collective asses. When the house flips in a couple of years, the republicans will need to remind dims about their pettiness - stripping membership and trying to oust elected members. They won't and the dims know it - that's the problem with the GOP - no balls.
Are you related to Joe McCarthy? He had a one track mind too.
