Coach speak. Can't believe anyone would put stock into thinking they take us seriously this year. This game won't be close.

I can understand Richt overlooking a Vols team that he is supposed to beat. However, the Vols of this season are unlike anything I have ever seen. I don't mean that in a good way.

It's about motivating your team. Every coach knows a lackluster performance and a few turnovers can make for an upset.

Heck, we saw what a lackluster half and a few turnovers almost did Saturday.

If you thought the Oregon game was a beat down...buckle up. Georgia ain't going to let up.

They are one of the best passing teams in the country vying for a national title in an era where epic beatdowns are needed to put you over the top. If they can score 100, they will.

And they have the additional handicap of enduring a loss. They can't afford to let up. BCS computers will force them to lose points even if they win and don't cover. If Oregon/Ohio State/etc win out UGA could be sitting on the outside even if they win the SEC if they don't beat the spread in every game they do win.

This game was a bad choice for Jones to bring in a bunch of recruits, honestly.

He's got a point. Too many of us act like we don't even care for the team.

At this point, most of us are just so completely beaten down.

We were watching UT get their teeth kicked in by Florida and Bama when most UT players were in middle school.

Most are just... sick of it. Sick of the coach speak. Sick of the meaningless words minced with lackluster performance that serve as a direct contradiction to the inspiring speeches in press conferences and interviews.

My dad's favorite saying was "proof is in the pudding". Right now, the only proof Vols fans have is 80 proof. And plenty of it.

Glad you guys stay positive:)

I was at that 2004 game. Thought we didn't have a chance that game, too. With a true freshman QB. That is why they play the game.

I would be very surprised if we're still in it by halftime. Saying that...it just amazes me how far away we are in terms of talent. We desperately need back to back top 5 recruiting classes!!!!!

Well, then keep staying sick. A fan is someone who stays with it, thick or thin. This will get turned around. I will be here when it does. I also enjoy my one game a year at Neyland Stadium- it will NEVER get old.

I hope beyond all hope that if we can't win at least Ga doesn't cover. SMDH. I have bled orange since I was old enough to understand what it meant, and why every man I looked up to in my family was within eyesight or earshot of my Vols on Saturday afternoons. Regardless of what we were up against.
I would put betting my house against a bitter conference rival right up there with betting some kid from across town was going to knock my son out in his golden gloves match. Classless and traitorish IMO. We must just have different concepts of VFL, or loyalty for that matter. Wow.

After 2004, 2006, 2009 and what almost happened last year, I think he's serious. UGA has a history of wetting the bed when favored in this game.

I'm pretty sure he was kidding about betting his house, but if you don't think UGA is going to bludgeon the Vols to death Saturday, you are going to be sorely disappointed.

On a side note, you're equating college football to your son. Get a grip and quit talking nonsense. It's a game.
