Winning the division (still very much on the table, considering the schedules) would save him. Winning 9 games including wins over UF and Tech would save him. Anything else and I think he's out.

They are 3rd in the east maybe 4th if we beat them. Kind of tough to say they suck after Boise and SC. That's 2 bcs game contenders. Not like ND 2 losses.

Now that they're 0-2, the air has been pretty much let out of the balloon. They could very well come out and play with nothing to lose. With their schedule, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make just enough of a run for Richt to keep his job. :crossfingers: Despite losing to UT, of course.

That's one option.

The other is; The team is 0-2, so now they lose confidence and fold like a lawn chair. Less likely scenario of the two, IMO. Those kids love their coach for some reason. They'll play their azzes off to keep him around.

If a change has to be made, it will be done at the appropriate time. Sure 0-2 sucks but we lost to a top 5 and a top 12 team in the country. Our boys came out and played their azzes of yesterday but too many mistakes cost us the game, all the credit to the Chickens for taking advantage of them. It will be very interesting to see how our staff and our boys handle this kind of adversity. The way we respond after these 2 games will probably be a bigger factor in deciding CMR's fate in Athens. The schedule is much more favorable now.

We could rip 3 in a row and head into K-town 3-2 and full of confidence. God knows we will need all the confidence heading up to Neyland.

Last night was a tough loss but I liked what I saw in our boys.

Is there any realistic way that Georgia doesn't fire this guy after this season?

He can still save his job by beating UF and Aub or by winning the East which is still very much possible. They've got the weakest schedule in the SECE. That didn't change.

For UT's sake, I hope he's there at least one more year.

Here's the same talking point again. CMR is 6-4 against UT and he ran you out of Athens last year. You guys want to sound like UF fans but don't have the record to do so. :eek:lol:

I know right? They won't beat MSU. I don't see them beating us now.

That's not the point. The point is that as long as Richt is coaching at UGA, there will always be a greater chance of failure regardless of the opponent.

This could have Fulmer 2007 season over it with that easy of a schedule.

Very possible. Still I don't see a huge raise and almost 10 year extension coming his way, regardless of the outcome. :) It takes a special kind of AD to make that happen.

Yeah, congrats. You ran UT's worst team in decades out of Athens last year. Our other bad team over the decades crushed you 45-19 two years ago.

So what was your point again?
