Mark Shlabach "TN fans enjoy this season but"

Sanctions going into our third year with a new coach and administration, that would be weak as hell. This is just recruiting shenanigans though. The fear of the top teams in the SEC and their fanbases is pretty palpable.

All the beat writers around here say Danny White doesn't expect anymore punishment. Dude is an idiot
Just like Bama doesn’t get the examinations, good timing on being good. They won’t hurt their college revenue/brand opportunities to any degree now that we’ve skyrocketed to the top, in addition to being poster child for cooperation and taking self imposed scholarships last year…maybe a few more scholarship dings but no one…coaches or McD baggers were on the team this year or last year.

As many wise posters on this board have stated before, there is no chance in hell that we get slammed after the way that we cooperated with the NCAA. That would completely discourage any school in the future to do so.

what do they even have to investigate anymore?
There shouldn't be anything. At least not having to do with UT. Maybe some past coaches and players. I guess they could retroactively deny some players the right to play for taking money?

I guess the entire media will act like Tennessee was the only one’s doing it. Tennessee was paying players but there is no way in hell that Alabama and Georgia was not paying more. Just look at their rosters….
Tennessee at this point still isn't considered amoung the elite in my opinion by the Sports Media.

Oh well our investigation is over. I meant in general. WIth NIL there is no need to pass players money under the table anymore.

They could still investigate academic fraud, but in the past they have deferred to the school to police that, since they don't actually set academic policy for anyone.

Just said on Finbaum "next summer when the NCAA brings judgment that Tennessee fans better enjoy this year. Which in insinuates a bowl ban or worse. Finbaum stated that Mark has covered the demise if Pruitt and has contacts in the NCAA.
Sounds like wishful thinking to me.

TN has become the bandwagon exciting team for a lot of people in the sports media.
The last thing the NCAA wants is UT telling them piss off we'll see you in court and for the sports media to start asking what is the NCAA doing and are they nonbiased? Saying look at what all TN did to clean house and how the NCAA hasn't passed down punishments equally to other schools...

All I expect is some fine and probably some type of meaningless probation to save face

We all know that UT gets no breaks with the AA, but the University has gutted the program and all sinners have been purged. Any additional punishment from the ,AA would be excessive and indefensible
add….Tennessee has started bringing in lots more revenue to the media/powers that be. Tennessee has brought CFGD thrice this year. That’s a ton of $ by this program in ‘22. They’ll be fair in this. Not “Alabama fair”, but we may be past the “sacrificial lamb” phase

If Finebaum is suggesting that Schlabach has inside information pertaining to upcoming sanctions against Tennessee? Well, that is nothing but runny, diarrhea bull $hit.

Schlabach predicted Tennessee would lose badly to both LSU and Alabama ... and called Tennessee "overrated" after the 27 point win in Baton Rouge.

Schlabach has been a frequent guest on Tony Basilio's show over the last 25 years. When Schlabach was on Basilio's show after the Alabama game, he sounded genuinely heart-broken over Tennessee's win. Like an immediate family member had just died or something.

1) Mark Schlabach is not giving that opinion because he has contacts within the NCAA's Committee on Infractions. He doesn't.

2) Mark Schlabach is giving that opinion because he is a Georgia homer who remembers the 90's very well, and hates Tennessee. Schlabach is hoping that Tennessee gets a bowl ban and beyond ... but because Tennessee won't be charged with a Lack of Institutional Control (The NCAA has already lauded Tennessee for their "exemplary" cooperation), it's just not happening.
This! All day long! Schlabach is winey whiner. He reminds me of the Nebraska homer that got kicked off espn years ago. Schlabach is just a total bias obnoxious no nothing so called reporter. A complete joke. GBO!!!!
