Marlon Brown

i was watching when brown made his decision, from listening to him i kinda wondered if he could make it academicly, didnt seem real bright to me

The kid's smart. It was the biggest day of his life so far and he was on the national stage. He's lucky he didn't crap his pants. Give him a break.

It's too bad we have fans that run a guy down and wish ill fate on a guy just because he chooses another school.

He is a wimp he can't make decisions for his self. Letting grandma make his decision for him is funny. Grow up kid. After hearing this I would not want him. Sounds like he can't do anything on his own. Grow up

I just saw Kiffin on the 6 o'clock news...

He said "Marlon called me last night...said he loved it here but his grandma wouldn't let him come...I don't know what you do about that"

All I can say to that is wow!! I'm really glad this 70 year old lady decided this was her decision

"Coach O came at me wrong" That was what Marlon said on the radio today. He and his grandmother are very Christian. Harding Academy is a very Christian school(my brother went there). Clearly O said something that didn't sit well with Marlon or his grandmother. It's unfortunate, but it will happen from time to time. Overall I think we have to be happy we stole some guys from other schools, and came away with an solid class after a coaching change and 5-7 season.

This is a family member that cares for her grandson. If the roles were reversed, you would be cheering grandma.

I dont blame him or his grandmother at all. I just hope we kill UGA every year.

If true, sounds like his grandmother is the true influence here. I would be willing to bet that MB doesnt have off field trouble with a background like this.

not necessarily.... those kids who've been sheltered and restricted as teens tend to be the very ones who get loose once they get out of grandma's range.

drinking and cussing? Isn't that what SEC football is built on? I'm guessin Granny isn't much of a tailgater

.........Yup.

lets not bash brown we all know we wanted him or this thread wouldnt have 177 pages. its a loss nonetheless, but we'll deal with it. we got two great offensive surprises today especially in richardson, so lets not dwell on this loss and lets stop talking about this dawg..

it came down to playing basketball i hope next year b.williams is on the low blocks against him, and eric berry meets him across the middle.

Smoke screen, if he wanted to come to UT he would have. Probably made up his mind prior to the official. Unfortunately instead of being 'the man' on campus I bet he'll be a target. Those other UGA receivers probably want to prove he's overrated and don't give a crap if he fails. Looks like he'll be tight with Austin Long because they don't normally pull any players from TN.

Just think, Marlon (now a bulldog) had his name on the rock!! I feel so dirty. :)

Really is a tough loss, but you have got to wish him luck. Every fan in here wanted Marlon Brown to come to the hill. It is time to move on.

Nuke for Heisman baby :p

But seriously, good luck to Marlon, except for when he plays UT. You can't blame him for doing what he thinks is best for him. Yes it might be a mistake, and yes it sucks, but give the man a break
