I'm a lover. Erebody knows it. You are extra angry today and VN is your place to vent and get the craziness out of your head. Its ok. Better than holding it in. I think your diatribes are amusing.

I'm hardly angry. I do not view most argument as personal; I view it as sport and view it as good for all involved.

I feel neither insulted nor disrespected. Have other military vets chimed in and stated that they are insulted and disrespected by these actions? Or, are you just projecting this insulted and disrespected feeling onto military vets?

Yes, my father contemplated going to the game in Oxford solely for the purpose of kicking the $hit out of him.

To be fair I'm sure the Auburn fans were heckling him the whole game before he did that.....but he still is a douche.

He did the same in Knoxville, I was at the game and saw or heard nobody provoking him in the stands.

Like I've said, certain things are fine...But there's a reason professional sports penalize for gestures like that.

Being at the game in Knoxville, no one said a thing to him until he started acting like a complete tool after making his 3's and turning to the crowd to taunt them.

Don't know what he did at Auburn, but it wouldn't surprise me if the same things happened.

He might need to tone some things down, but if we had players with half his fire, we would be a much better team.

That's absolutely fine, and basically what I said. I'd love to see stokes and McRae talk $hit to guys, get the team pumped...Maymons a guy that'd do that.

However, like I've been saying, there's a line and IMO he crosses it...and he'll pay it's coming. Somebody is gonba have enough of it and do something.

you do realize that there is a large percentage of people who don't view it as sport and find it annoying, right?

And when they do, he has big men that will have his back in a heart beat.

Very becoming of your father. When I believed in what I was fighting for, I at least believed that I was fighting to defend the rights of individuals to express themselves in whichever manner they saw fit.

And when someone feels it fits to beat the crap out of Henderson, I'll be happy you fought for that persons right to do so.

Not a right I fought for. You do not have the right to assault individuals for expressing themselves in ways in which you disapprove.

It's part of the game. Other athletes have ways of taking care of these things and it'll happen soon enough.

If any athlete was the victim of an assault, even on the court/field/ice/pitch, and chose to press charges, I would support the decision to press charges. As much as individuals want to say, "It's part of the game", and let it be, I would rather not see similar scenarios to the Tomjanovich, Bertuzzi, Brashears, etc. incidents replayed, simply because "it's part of the game".
