Martin doesn't 'waste time and energy' on chatter surrounding job security

ROFL. This dude wouldn't even break a sweat if he didn't wear a suit into an arena. He's a joke and I don't expect him to say anything different.

I still can't get over him calling timeout with less than 3 seconds to play against A&M. Just what kind of a play did he think he was going to get with less than three seconds remaining.

He obviously hasn't consumed himself with learning how to be a better coach, either.
I wonder what does consume his time.

IMO, anything was better than what we were seeing. The dude was drowning and it looked like he was either going to take a really horrible shot or turn the ball over. They were collapsing and he couldn't do anything.

It actually happens more than any fan wants to see. Makes a coach look bad, but if a right handed desperation hook(which didn't go in) had occurred folks would be irked he didn't call a TO from the bench. Even if it were with only 2.4 left. JMO

This CLOWN just keeps digging his own grave game by game, interview after interview. I can almost say I GUARANTEE we lose tomorrow at MSU. Ive lost trust...thanks Gonzo!

He has security if he keeps the job or not. It really doesn't matter not going on food stamps anytime soon. It all comes down to this last four games. If we win them all he has another year to be the coach of Tennessee. If he goes 2 and 2 I believe someone else will have the job next season.

I would agree if there were even five seconds left, but with three seconds or less you just don't have enough time to set up a play. I think you have to take your chances that we could get a shot off and beat the buzzer. But that's just me.

Yeah I notice the gum chewing hit warp speed the last 30and into overtime. Its a shame too because his demeanor could be a calming influence at times on the court.IMO But I have a feeling its like a duck on the water. On the outside he looks calm, but inside his head is feet are kicking a hundred miles an hour.

btw: not trying to be funny, dead serious

Found this interesting, but Stokes was asked what's it like to have a coach that's the same win or lose. His response surprised me...he said, it may appear and be that way to you guys (media) but behind closed doors and in practice, there's a big difference.

The dude has beaten cancer and grew up in East St. Louis. I'm going to guess his coaching status isn't something that really scares him.

Boy, isn't that the truth. Some things pale in comparison to both those realities. A bunch of overweight suburban white guys signing Bruce petitions are probably not blood pressure material. :zeitung_lesen:

Players seem to like Coach Martin and have represented UT well under him. I think the world of him as a person, but have doubts about his Xs Os preparing and live in games.
I hope he turns it around and wins the SECT, then our guys make a deep NCAA run. Not just to keep him around, but to get shocked and watch him have a long successful career here. Buttchagotta win when you have depth, experience, and talent as we do this year.

He doesn't waste much time or energy coaching why should he waste it worrying about his job?

Hey somebody make a joke about CM not wasting time and energy on coaching either.

The eighth time, it will be really funny, I bet.

Reminds me of what my dad use to say about me working on the farm. "Son you are like a broken pistol, you don't work and I can't fire you"
