Martin wants an extension and am sure a raise (rumor)

:)Double his pay we are TENNESSEE FOOTBALL FACTORY, watching basketball is something we do to kill time before spring football gets here who cares till March anyway.

but Cornish is a unanimous 3 star across the board...........

I guess the post by BigZiti was the composite scoring formula, I figured 24/7 would have stuck with the Rivals format for ranking recruits.

This is the only way I see someone being a unanimous 3 star being a 4 star on 247 comp.

say he is a high 3 star on every site but some sites, rivals for example, he is a 131 overall which could be a 4 star on 247 site. Don't look at just the star rating bc there is more to it than that. Cornish avg is at 90.something which is right over that 90 cutoff line for the 4th star on 247.

Your statement was that 2014 team rankings aren't out, you didn't say oh except for 247 composite rankings. There are some rankings out, they have Tennessee at 25 (I originally said 20) here's a link for you 2014 Basketball Recruiting Team Rankings

Why is it you say the composites are crap? I actually think its the most unbiased way to look at rankings. For example a guy like Phil Cofer is up around 150 on some services but 50 on ESPN, that's a huge gap. So one can argue he's top 50 while another says he barely top 150...the composite eliminates picking and choosing which service has said recruit higher and just gives an average...I like it personally.
The composite rankings are crap because they give too much weight to the lower-ranked prospects and bigger classes will be ranked over smaller classes no matter what.

UF has a small (2-man, 5-star) class for 2013. You might be a little emotional and butt-hurt since their composite was 16th overall for UF per 247. Composite rankings would seem to even out the high's and low's of the various ranking categories. JMO

On a side note, will Walker qualify academically? FL board was pretty concerned about a month ago.

Did you just want to use the word "butthurt?"

The composite rankings suck because of a case like Florida's class this season. It gives too much value to unranked prospects and obviously favors bigger classes over smaller classes regardless of quality. Also, no, it doesn't even anything out, as Florida's class is in or near the Top 10 in every recruiting service. Composite rankings are a good idea generally (and their composite player rankings seem to be pretty accurate), but these composite team rankings simply suck. JMO

And yes, he's expected to qualify.

I wasn't questioning your spelling but rather your usage. Seemed like you were throwing the word in there for the sake of using it.

Why would it be funny, CCM still hasn't done 1 thing to deserve a raise. Pretty pathetic he asked for and received one.

1. Obviously the AD felt he deserved one.

2. I haven't seen it anywhere he asked. Iirc Dave Hart said he would discuss it with Martin at some point in the offseason, like he does with all coaches.
