disney's star-hers and M-SHE-U has lost millions of dollars over these crap, woke movies. Loki was crap, this new echo movie looks completely silly, the production, fight scenes are atrocious.
Now they hired some female activist (who only did documentaries) to make the next disney star-hers movie. This will be another disaster.
lol. what worse is shallow fans not understanding good stories or movies.
The guy using “M-She-U” and “Star-hers” accusing others of being shallow is rich
What constitutes good story telling in your expertise? So far all you’ve demonstrated is strong woman lead equal bad storytelling. Or a director not politically aligned with your world view equal bad.
strong women leads have always been around. there are tons of example and it occurred naturally, it wasn't forced. but when you deliberately make male super heros 2nd tier or race swap them to make some social justice point, is just dumb and doesn't make good story telling, especially when it strays from the source material. you obviously can't understand this.
Examples of it being forced please. What male character has been deliberately reduced to second tier? What character was race or gender swapped that it truly impacted the character or story?
Looking for specific examples and the reasons why the the changes made hurt the storytelling. I’ve asked a few times but you never seem to come back with any. You just regurgitate the culture war BS.
nick fury, indiana jones, both are portrayed as broken down men. Hawkeye, what a comedic battle on an ice rink. it's embarrassing. luke skywalker's last movie portrayed him as a joke.
Sam Jackson and Harrison Ford are old men. LOL. A character played by an old man being portrayed as an old man is not the same as reducing them to a joke. The broken down grumpy old man who overcomes personal struggle is a well worn trope from Ebeneezer Scrooge to Walt Kowalski. That is not a critique of storytelling. It is an archetype.
Luke wasn’t portrayed as a joke … he wasn’t the Luke most fans, included myself expected or wanted. However I did end up liking the take. We can quibble about the details but it actually made sense for him to become a recluse when explained it in the movie that the cycle of the Jedi/Sith back and fourth was never ending. In the end he came around to the side of hope again. This falls back into the Grumpy Oldman archetype. In full disclosure I don’t think the sequels were particularly thought out as a trilogy and that is a failing of storytelling. Not what they did to Luke. That has nothing to do with woke-ism or DEI.
As for Hawkeye, a show that was generally well received with good reviews across the board, THAT is the hill you are going to die on? … The show was based on” Dad trying to get home for the Holiday” trope, it took place in NYC at Christmas time, where would you have preferred the finale to be? FTR the show was also based on a critically acclaimed comic series.l so source material stayed pretty true.
Again, you aren’t really breaking down storytelling. You are just describing things you personally didn’t like most likely due to your own identity politics as proven by your regular use of “woke” “DEI” “MSHEU” and “Star-hers”.
it's a few examples. jackson's comic book character was a tough leader, (in the M-SHE-U he's broken down man, as all men like him are portrayed) the men purposely being written weak as doesn't drive the story but it is a consistent character development of those men. they're all written to be pathetic and useless and they need a girl boss to show them the way. it's a complete joke, the lack of sales and fan reviews support my point.
Ohhhhh so you’ve read every Nick Fury story dating back to the Howling Comandos? So you are aware how he needed “Boss Girl” Contessa Valentina to pull his fat out of the fire on a regular basis dating back to 1967 when Jim Steranko introduced the character by having her whip him in hand to hand combat when they first met?
As for sales, all movies have dipped. It’s not just Marvel/Disney. Two of the 3 MCU films in 2023 still finished in the top 10 (plus across the Spiderverse which is Sony but the chuds hate Miles). So in comparison to pre-pandemic box office, yes Disney had a terrible year. In the context of the the whole industry it’s a lot less severe. They finished 2nd for the first time since 2016 in total BO by a few million behind Universal, despite putting out 7 fewer films. Universal was also buoyed by Oppenheimer and Mario (who needed “Boss Girl” Peach to help him out).
Oh and the number 1 movie in for the year? Ultimate Boss Girl Barbie.
Seriously man, your point view is grossly overestimated. It crumbles under the smallest bit of scrutiny.
Maybe Thanos will snap, and everyone obsessed with politics will vanish so we can enjoy marvel . Sorry, I couldn't resist.
On a different note, I'm curious who the main villain is gonna be for the new avengers now.
Dude, I assure you, nobody is shoving anything down my throat. If something is that offensive to me as it seems to you, I don't watch. It's really that simple, sincerely. Are there people out there trying to push what they believe/want? Absolutely, but don't be naive, and act like it's one group, or even one party. All of that sucks, and both parties suck, but neither shoves anything on me. If I don't like something, I don't cry, I just change the channel. You'd do good to learn that.it's not about politics. they're shoving crap down your throat and your begging for more. stop being so beta.

I'm not try to be smart saying this, but it's nobody's fault but your own that it gets to you this much. Don't watch it. There's a lot I don't agree with, or support, and I don't watch whatever it is.Im not offended by any of it, its just crap writing with the same troupe that Disney's been pushing. Its not about parties either You have a company that has destroyed 3 franchises because of their woke, crap ideology. They can even write it well, its just laughable at this point.
