Marvel's The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015)

The Avengers: Age of Ultron - 4/5

I caught the matinee this afternoon while maybe it's not as good as the first one it's still pretty awesome.

I have to say it was hard at first to take Ultron seriously until his voice became more mechanical as all I could picture in my mind was Raymond Reddington is fighting the Avengers!

Haven't seen it yet but heard they cut out a lot of footage because of it being so long of a movie....
So the actual Directors cut should be good......I
I'm still looking forward to watching this......:hi:

Finally saw it this afternoon. Although it didn't catch the same lightning in a bottle, I think it was just as entertaining as the first. Tons more action and jumped right in from the opening scene.

Looking back on some of the early reviews and I wonder if they saw the same movie I did. I thought all the actors seemed engaged and enjoying their roles. If any of them were burned out you would think it would be Chris Evans coming off Winter Soldier but he IS Captain America. He has become my favorite Marvel Cinema character.

I thought Ultron was a good villain even if I did hear James Spader a little too clearly. He seemed plenty menacing to me. I thought his end game was a pretty clever threat.

The Vision was just plain bad ass and didn't get nearly enough screen time displaying his powers. Seems like they are putting a touch of Adam Warlock into him to prepare him for Infinity War.

Yes there was a good bit of humor but it all worked. Just like in the first one.

My only two complaints are the Natasha/Banner love story which seemed very forced. And the Maximoffs' accents were terrible.

8/10

Very good point on the Maximoff accents. Hopefully they downplay that moving forward.

I really thought it seemed like a setup film for the next phase but I still enjoyed it greatly.
